'22 GA RB Justin Williams (Cal)

This early signing period is further evidence we need to extend Heupel and lock him in - 10 years minimum.

You are just wanting to be negative for no real reason. Did you expect Garner to walk in and get 5*s right off the bat? My goodness. This is going to be a good class. Save your negative crap for the Heupel haters.
What 5 stars? I expected him to be able to outrecruit freaking Vandy and Illinois. I also didn’t expect us to get worked by AU and FSU

Auburn doesn't even have a offensive coordinator. Head coach was begging for other jobs , and still can't close the deal at a position of need

Y'all fall for this crap every time. I don't know when y'all are going to figure out that AP and others aren't nearly as connected as some of you want to believe. They are wrong quite a bit and have lost a lot of the connections they once had under Fulmer, and Kiffin. Case in point the Juco cornerback that committed to Auburn last night, the UT writers tried to play it off as a close race when in fact all of those around him were pointing to Auburn. Many recruits aren't truthful or will ignore writers from team sites.

Do you really think we’re tracking to have less talent than Mizzou and S Car based on one class? You live and breathe recruiting so I know you realize our class isn’t that much different than those others when you get down to it.

And I get it, feeling like we had a chance to really finish strong and then not is frustrating. I respect you a ton, and you’re a great poster, but I think you’re being super over dramatic.
I think two bad classes in a row plus losing portal players have badly impacted our roster. I think Ky, SC, and Mizzou are catching up with us in talent and we are getting further behind the top teams in the SEC. They can begin to change that in ‘23, but it’s naive to not see what’s happening here as a warning sign

Y’all need to stop acting like the sky is falling. We went 7-5 with a coach who has been here for 11 months with an entirely turned over athletic department cleaning up a gulf oil spill. Step back and put things in perspective with recruiting. Heupel and his staff were doing nothing but fighting uphill battles with developing relationships with recruits considering most other schools had long last recruiting relationships with a lot of these guys and our remaining targets were all guys who just popped up in the last couple of months. Other teams didn’t close against us, but we more so almost stole a lot of recruits out from under the noses of established programs. If we get over the hump and win 8-10 next year our ‘23 class is going to look a hell of a lot different this time next year
TY

I think '23 will be much better. But losing every single target down the stretch is a warning flag, whether you all want to admit it or not. I ignored the warning signs about Butch and Pruitt. I'm filing this one away. Hopefully we're in for a surprise tomorrow.
At this point I don’t even care where we finish in recruiting. We’ve had top 10 and 15 classes for the last decade and where has that gotten us? We finally have an actual Coach. I’ll take development over stars.

You don't honestly believe they are headed to Auburn because of his shining personality do you? UT is at a distinct disadvantage right now due to Pruitt's stupidity. I can assure you we would be enjoying the NIL process a lot more if that weren't hanging over our heads.

I'd rather that coach be developing top talent vs KY level recruiting classes.

You also have to look at the fact we are jumping in with a lot of these guys late in the game. AP even mentioned as much. It's not like we have recruited these guys since day one of this staff. Its concerning, but you have to take the whole picture into focus before freaking out. Also, if our NIL game is far from desirable that's on the folks who have the money to improve that, more so than the staff. Hard for a kid to turn down any amount of money when you're offered playing time and money at university over the other.

Take it easy. He hasn't chosen Auburn. My prediction is that he sticks with the good guys. We can close when it comes to offensive recruits.

Heupel boat raced SC and Mizzou with a transfer QB, a JUCO RB, a WR that Jeremy Pruitt added on the last day, and 4/5 OL either playing out of Position or injured. If you're like me and think that the 2 most important group positions are OL and DL then KY had ALREADY passed us this year and we still beat them on the road. I think that JH knows that this staff isnt necessarily world beaters on the trail but it certainly beats Felton Shelton and that meathead Neidermayer coaching LBs that cant play.

It sounds to me like subscription-based recruiting services are attempting to drive panic/concern amongst various fanbases on the day before Early NSD to get clicks and engagement, which in turn sells advertisements for their website.

I am shocked. Who could have seen this coming.

So bay all means, tell us how we make recruits come here instead of other places.
