‘23 GA S Jack Luttrell (Tennessee transfer)

Here is my take idc to be labeled a nega. He doesn’t have in-the-box safety size, or elite top end sideline-to-sideline deep safety speed. He has quick short area burst. I honestly think he could move to slot WR. And if he excels at safety, or maybe they put a little weight on him and try him at STAR, he does well, that’s awesome. But he’s been 100% Vol from the jump and he’s got the versatility so I have zero issues with us giving this kid a scholarship.

even if he ends up only a punt returner and ST player he’s worth it. He’s fearless fielding punts. That first one scared me, not sure I’d advise that in the SEC, 😂

Really like to know the game situation and details on that fake punt from just outside his endzone. Loved his kick returns, see the hole hit the hole. Sometimes it is the seeing that sets returners apart.
Agree. He didn't hesitate and got north and south fast.

.85? I just don’t understand that ranking. Maybe it’s because he only weighs 172 and they don’t believe he can put on weight and maintain speed?
It's criminal how low they have him ranked. Guy is a STUD. Awareness, instincts, and a sure tackler at the point of contact.

I think he would be a good star prospect. As quick as he is, he would be great defending those little slants and out patterns. He's not afraid of contact, so he would be an asset in the box in run support.

Just needs to add some weight.

I have thought the exact same thing. It’s why I mentioned early in this thread, that I believe his weight to be more than is listed.

One disappoint I have with VN is that we do not spend enough time mocking the couch highlight scouts who believe they know this much about a player based on what they found on Max Preps.

John Lynch!

You know, because he’s a white Safety.

Just thought I’d skip the undertones. 😂

A former offensive coordinator I worked with taught me the "white kid rule". If they had a white guy in their secondary, we would throw at him in the first quarter. He said "He might be John Lynch, but if he is, I'm going to find out early"

Hell Ray Charles would be better than what we have back there. Give the kid a chance to show his skills. He is obviously pretty darn good considering people are still coming at him. Hope he gets pissed by all of these people not even giving him a chance.

That rule did not apply when Chris White played for the Vols in 1985.
