Chip Kelly recruited top 15 classes at Oregon, and Chip Kelly didn’t like recruiting. Dan Lanning can, and they can pretty much land elite talent out west. They also can do well in Texas. They’ve recently produced first round picks at OL, DL, CB, and QB. Herbert was from Oregon. Sewell was from Utah. Thibideaux was from California. Christian Gonzalez was from Texas. Nix was a transfer. They get talent.

It is always difficult to undue what has been done. He doesn’t have many more mulligans, and he’s going to lose games. Let’s see how long he lasts. 7-5 next year does him no good.

not defending them, these are logical observations, i was born in 91, do you know how many times ive gotten too experience actually beating florida in years we were suppose too? cause its a very small number, im not naive enough to overlook the history of the game or the signs of positive momentum they have, never said we weren't also on the upswing and in a better position

My link clearly shows that 247 sports had Florida's Class of 2024 ranked #13. You should try reading it .... and going to GatorCountry, since that is clearly your preferred team.

Florida's high school recruiting rank was #13.
Florida's overall rank, after factoring in transfers from the portal, was #7.

So you're both right, in a way.

and my linked shows them at 7, i acknowledge what yours said, your just in denial. Logic isn't really defense of a team and i haven't been aggressive even slightly. You are just insecure and extremely butt hurt. If anyone is acting like a florida fan here, its you.

Someone smarter than me, what does the class look like subtracting Hayward, smith, konanbany and adding Campbell, Merritt, Perlotte? Seems like a somewhat even trade off

How is posting what 247's final rankings said, being in denial? Florida's Class of 2024 finished 13th. PERIOD.

There is no reason for me to be "butt hurt" over anything related to Florida football. LOL.

Tennessee beat Florida and will be in the 2024 College Football Playoff, while Florida will be in the Citrus Bowl, Gator Bowl or the ReliaQuest Bowl, and playing in a mostly empty stadium, with a depleted roster, because their seniors won't care enough to play in such a meaningless game.

You are a Florida fan, masquerading as a Tennessee fan, on a Tennessee fan site. Presumably, that is so you can have the appearance of credibility, while carrying water for the lame duck coach (Billy Napier) of a has-been program (Florida football). That is beyond pathetic. You need to go to GatorCountry, and find yourself a life on the way there.

Sounds like we’re not losing Onis anymore. Take away D Smith and add Campbell Merritt and Perlotte bumps us up to 279.26 numerical (9th), just a point behind 8th place LSU. For reference, our best numerical ranking ever was in 2015. This would be the second best

Your very clearly butthurt, you took logical observations that everyone in the nation from josh pate down has already made absolutely cant articulate an argument against it and decided to go for personal attacks pretty fast. Thats the exact definition of butthurt.

That refers only to the ranking of the 247 site .... rather than the 247 composite ranking which is what is customarily used. In the 247 Composite Team Ranking, Florida was 13th.

You are very clearly a Florida fan, who pathetically feels the need to carry water for them on a Tennessee site. Get a life. Florida sucks. Have fun watching them lose the Gator Bowl in front of about 20,000 fans.

Who knows what he was talking about because he never said, which is how peep do when they are mistaken and talking wrong about a misunderstanding that should have been sorted out.

I’ll carry water for Sunbelt Billy also. Needs a lifetime contract, very underrated coach, just needs more time.
