To be honest, I agree with you, but things like this go your way and go against you. It just is what it is these days, unfortunately.

I'm not condoning any player doing it, but it is a much different situation when you have an elite player that was heavily recruited at a spot that has limited players taken. Schools are going to have multiple corners and linebackers, but very unlikely that a program is going to sign more than 1 elite safety in a class....especially not in the NIL era. I don't pretend to be privy to his recruitment, but I'm sure he was sold on the fact that he was our guy and that's why so much NIL money was put towards him. An QB, OT or S doing it is a much different situation than LB, CB, or IOL.

I'll concede to your point on QB, and even at OT, but safeties are a dime a dozen. Schools take multiple safeties each year. It's a versatile position that multiple other positional athletes can play, too.

Tough to lose this one and my chaplain friend has got to be hurting he is not a Bulldog. He says he is a good kid. I think he just got swayed by playing time and money. The issue I have is his smart mouth accusation that is in no way any worse than what Florida is telling him. Mercenaries only who don't take a great deal and play where they really want to play will destroy a team. We are better off without them If and I say IF the only reason is a little more money. People have taken less money when it is close to take or stay at a job they really enjoy. The grass is not always greener. I will say the same thing about anyone we flip, if it is just the money and only the money, you will have issues down the road. I've seen it in all walks of life.

Sooo really don’t like the late flip but it’s business. Throwing a bunch of lies at a staff that busted their butts to accommodate you and recruit you and your family though isn’t right. If you’re just looking for the best deal that’s fine and understandable but dragging the school through the mud that did right by you is sorry. Hope him and his POS handler got well paid to go be with the rest of the reptiles in Gainesville.
