Depending on the source I talk to, different things are out there about Mike Matthews and USC. The interest is there. The question is; is the distance too far? One source says the distance from Atlanta to LA is a real factor. Matthews likes the USC offense, he likes the campus and the Trojans continue to be in the race, but the discussion is still there on whether that is too far away. Tennessee continues to be a constant with Matthews and he is back in Knoxville this weekend. The Vols look to be in the best position and would love to close this out before a decision is made likely next month. Clemson is still one being talked about and Georgia is lurking trying to keep him at home.
Rumors that Dylan Raiola is transferring to a Georgia high school and that Matthews might transfer to the same school. Don’t like that.
Doubt Raiola would go from Arizona to Georgia. Also it’s not like park view is some slouch school. They got some studs
In the southeast there has always been one UT and it should always remain that way. in the 1950s and 60s all the newspapers in GA and Alabama were using the UT for Tennessee. Anything else is a UT wannabe. They were also using VOLS for Volunteers. Since it is a tradition to shorten the nicknames does that mean we can now use HOs for Longhorns? They do seem to be all about the money here.Since Tejas is going to be in the SEC now there will be two schools with the initials UT. I do not want to refer to Tennessee as UT+, but we could refer to Tejas as UT-.
