I'm not hearing that we're really in it for Sammy Brown right now. It's Clemson-UGA in that order right now. Then a big gap to anyone else. Not impossible to make up the gap, but we have work to do. Supposedly Sammy is less about immediate playing time and more about development to get drafted high. The fact that we are real contenders for 4 (Williams N, Matthews, Wingo, Sammy Brown) of the top ten guys on 247 says a lot.
Wonder what AP would say about an over/under of 1.5 of those players
This is very accurate from everything that I've heard or read as well. We're a longshot in this one and I'm not sure what we could do on his visit to change that very much.I'm not hearing that we're really in it for Sammy Brown right now. I mean, who on earth would pass up the opportunity to play in this offense?
This should be a dream for high school receivers.

Ga is understandable, but Clemson? Why? Venables is gone and not only did we whip their arse on a national stage with a "backup" QB and motley crew on D, but everyone this season could see the shine is wearing off of that program... Interesting.
Clemson had one of the top defenses in CFB statistically this past season without venebles.Ga is understandable, but Clemson? Why? Yeah, I think the shine is wearing off, too, but they'll point to some D guys getting drafted high this year and say they're still developing w/o Venables. Also, it's a little easier to play D in the ACC.Ga is understandable, but Clemson? Why? -VQAfter Mike Matthews saw Tennessee earlier this week, he checked out several other schools before returning home. He has remained high on the Vols for sometime, and nothing appears to be changing on this front. In talking with multiple people this week, there is some belief that Clemson is Tennessee’s biggest competitor at this point, but it would also be unwise to rule out nearby Georgia. Matthews has been non-committal on which programs will get an OV, but there is reason to believe today the Vols are in line to get one of his five officials.
