it was a cheap shot. what makes it bad is that he didn't even touch home plate. but I wouldn't call it too egregious.

Taking off that idiot Morgan's head with a clothesline was excellent. That's old school style defense of a teammate.

So you cheer for the two monsters to beat up a little 5'8" 160lbs guy?

I like what Morgan did, I like that he ran over their catcher, he should have gotten out of the way. They hit him with a pitch, he steals two bags and scores on a sac fly, loved it.

I wished he would have landed that punch on Volstad.

Yeah, running down 11 to pimp your stats the night after you injure a member of the opposition with an idiotic play and less than a week after you take a shot so cheap your manager apologizes for it and calls you unprofessional makes you the victim. Morgan is trash. Pure and simple. The only mistake the Marlins made tonight was showing Morgan the courtesy of throwing at waist level. Back when the game was played properly, those shots would have been coming in above neck level.

On one hand you commend the Marlins for throwing at him and scoff at the idea of the location of the thrown pitch, reminisce about how it was in the old days, but then you plaster Morgan for stealing bags and running over a guy who is blocking the plate?

Stealing bases and running over a guy when you are getting killed in a meaningless game is not old school- if that is what you are implying.

they happened in different games. he was stealing bases in the blowout. you know, if the Marlins don't like it, then maybe they should throw him out.

That's right all the highlights are running together.

I think the Marlins took care of him just fine.

Like someone else said, you are just supposed to pack it in when you are losing?

To me, if a guy is blocking the plate, he is fair game, always has been, why is it different just cause some people have an obvious agenda against the guy?

He did what anyone would have done IMO, you hit a guy once, fine, you throw at him again then there is going to be a fight.

The fact that those pansies were throwing at him because he stole two bags is the most pathetic thing I have ever seen, they were winning the game, what was the problem?

It's a bush league move and he paid for it.

Indirect comment...just look at everyone else's opinion.

The consensus is that he got what he deserved, to the point that people think that a guy twice his size blindsiding him trying to defend the monster that is Volstad is not only acceptable but applauded.

Why do you say he's trash?

The actions that he has been involved with within the past week explains. The Nationals organization has already apologized for his stupidity a few weeks ago, he has taken multiple cheap shots at a catcher, and he hurt a player last night. Some of the things he has done hasn't been that bad, but when you add them all together it shows he's pretty stupid.

That poor catcher. Nevermind the blazing fastball that were hurled at him.

Not sure if you know much about the game or watched the events unfold in this situation. I have no problems with the Marlins hitting him. It's part of the game.

As far as Morgan stealing bases down 14-3. That's 100% busch league. Your single run means absolutely nothing when your down 11 so stealing 2nd and 3rd accomplishes exactly nothing. Also, if you paid attention you would see that Morgan completely slides over and through both bases almost looking to make some sort of contact. He's busch and deserved what he got.
