He fired Joe Brady for Ben McAdoo…brilliant

Trying to save his job move. Smart move sure but it’s not brilliant.

Mcadoo is walking into a situation where he has no Oline, a complete disaster at QB, a worn out injury prone RB, and before long DJ Moore is going to walk.

He’s trying to save his job, but I don’t see how the offense will get better by replacing IMO one of the great offensive minds in football and bringing in McAdoo. Like you said, the Panthers have a personnel issue and I don’t see that changing much. Rhule might as well start looking for real estate in Tallahassee for next December .

I wouldn’t have hired Ben McAdoo but I’m also not on the Joe Brady train either. He had Burrow, Jefferson, and Chase at LSU. Jefferson and Chase are 2nd team All-Pro. They both were ridiculously successful as rookies and Jefferson got even better this season. And all Burrow did was have the 3rd most passing yards/gm and 8th most TDs in the NFL in his first full season. I’m in the camp that believes Brady is a product of those players.

This reminds me of a guy who came to work at (what was then) Kodak in about 1990 and he wanted his title to be "Stud" on his business card. They said no. Kodak was so straight laced, you know. Some people can actually pull that off, evidently.

Hard to argue with the amount of talent on that 2019 LSU team. They would’ve smoked this years UGA team by at least 2 scores. No doubt in my mind.

Which might actually be debatable if all three, Jefferson Chase and Burrow, weren't at LSU the year prior under Ensminger, with no Brady, giving us plenty of stats for comparison.

2018, no Joe Brady

Without Joe Brady's passing game coordination, it's 100% certain that LSU does not have the offensive production that they had in 2019 with just Ensminger as OC.

This year’s uga team benefited from an overall down year in football, and still split their series with Bama, unfortunately winning the second matchup.

There are multiple teams over the past 10 years that would have smoked uga.

Backed their way into a NC. Yay??

Whatever you need to tell yourself to make you feel better. Those players are elite in the NFL without Brady coaching them there so I give more credit to the players. Everyone knows those guys are ballers. Doesn’t matter who is coaching them.

Except that it did matter. Ensminger was not capable of calling as successful of a passing game or effectively utilizing their talent. Them doing well in the NFL, surrounded by NFL talent has no bearing on that in any way.

It has no bearing? Idk if you checked but the NFL has a salary cap and a draft. The playing field is about as even as you can get. It comes down to the cream of the crop players and those three guys are in that category. They are without Brady and doing just fine without him. Cincinnati has one of the worst lines in the NFL. Burrow has been sacked more than 50 times but he’s still successful. Chase put up video game numbers against the two time defending AFC Champs. And Jefferson is Mr. Consistency with Kirk freaking Cousins running the offense. You aren’t convincing me that Brady made those players. Sorry, you can try with someone else but it ain’t working on me.

Yes those players doing will in the NFL, has zero bearing on whether nor not Joe Brady had a substantial impact on LSUs offensive production with those players on the LSU roster; the stats themselves show that he did.

If you want to engage in the 'willing suspension of disbelief' in order to pretend that the stats lines are to try to diminish Brady's impact on the 2019 LSU team, then feel free to do so, but that still won't make it reality.

'21 Bama may have also beaten '21 Georgia if two young [freshmen?] Bama wide receivers didn't drop a couple clutch 3rd down passes.
Losing #1 was a blow, sure, but UGA's last three tuddy's were scored...wait for it.....by freshmen

A missed FG in OT, unforced fumble by Clint Stoerner and a Marcus Outzen-led FSU in the title game all agree UGA backed into a NC. 😂
