Game Changer Coach at UF

The point was made that Burrow is an elite player playing at an elite level in the NFL, so Joe Brady had little to affect on his performance in 2019.

I was simply making the point that elite NFL players don't always get coached very well in college.

Yeah and Burrow got his knee shredded because of that horrible OL. Dude tore his ACL, MCL, PCL, and meniscus because they suck. They still are horrible. He was the most sacked QB in the league this year and yet he overcame that. Who wins a playoff game getting sacked 9 times? That guy does. Nice try though.

He played pretty bad in that Titans game. He certainly didn't win then that game. The Bengals defense, Ryan Tannehill, and terrible Titans playcalling is what won the Bengals that game.

This has nothing to do with how good Burrow is or isn't. I think hes a great QB. But that isn't a good example. The Titans don't go for 2 we earlier in the game or kick a FG instead of going for it on 4th and short, and Burrow is sitting at home right now.

3-0 in the playoffs and playing in the Super Bowl in his first full season. The dude just beat a team that’s dominated the AFC for the past 4 seasons after being down 21-3. First ever #1 overall pick to make it this far within their first two years in the NFL. The Bengals were the worst team in the league whenever they drafted him and they have pulled a 180 in two short seasons because of his leadership. The guy just knows how to win. That’s not coaching, that’s just called being a great quarterback. Sooner or later you just have to give the guy his props.

Exactly. It's not fair to say that Georgia backed into the National Championship. Backing into a National Championship is what Florida did in 1996. After losing to Florida State, they needed Nebraska to lose to Texas in the Big 12 Championship Game and Arizona State to lose to Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. The '96 Gators got lucky, whereas Georgia never lost control of their own fate.
They both got a mulligan and they both took advantage. If there had been a CFP in 1996, Florida would have been in it and the Gators would have still won the national championship. Just like Georgia still got in this season and won it. They were both the best team in their respective seasons, but it's hard to go undefeated unless you're the '95 Huskers or some other super-team.

As for 1998, if it somehow makes Gator fans feel good to know they lost to FSU with Marcus Outzen and duly put the Noles into the natty to lose to UT, who cares?

It doesn’t make us feel good at all. We win that game, and we likely get another shot at UT.
