Yet Oklahoma went into then number 12 Ole Miss and blew them out on their home court. Ole Miss remains in the top 25. A lot of parity nowadays and wins and loss's alot of the time boiling down to matchups in the game..Oklahoma is not top 25 by almost any metric other than the media votes
They are a top 50 win which yes we should be happy with.
But we should be way better than them even down our best player.
Celebrate the win, but to ignore the deficiencies is just mind boggling.
Key is getting a little better, but no way she gets close to game condition in games. I think they're using her wisely. Teams like Notre Dame and espec Ohio State will run us to death and have 4 on 5s all day w TK on the floor.I maintain if we are gonna suck we should just let Key play as much as she can to regain her confidence and conditioning. She’s critical to this team cause Jill has struggled so far.
How much would you money willing to bet?Why is the discussion about Oklahoma?
They are Top 25 end of the discussion. Many said the team didn’t have a chance without Jackson for about a whole week.
Some said we would go 0-4 against Indiana, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Ohio State. I heard some folks expected two losses this weekend no matter if Rickea played or not.
The first two the team split. Oklahoma beat Ole Miss when both teams were at full strength. Tennessee won shorthanded. Scored 76 points without not only Rickea but Avery Strickland who can certainly add some skill in the backcourt.
Tennessee isn’t at full strength now. Just today someone said Tennessee isn’t even top 5 in the SEC lol.
I’ll bet money at full strength Tennessee has a great chance to win the SEC.
This was 100% a quality win earned by the players without their leading scorer and a versatile G in Ace.
Coaching was not where it needs to be and hopefully they can get over the hump now with a win against a ranked opponent.
Trying to figure out what they are doing with her. She could be running sprints at hitt intensity and also jogging at medium intensity and be in really great shape in just a couple of weeks far from where she is now. She seems to have regained her coordination in the half court, but certainly is having trouble running the floor. I don't of course know when she was released for full conditioning, but it has to be so now cause she wouldn't be playing. That said the strength and conditioning coach is doing a poor job getting her ready. Her vox max looks like that of an old man. Two three trips down the court and she is ready to kill over.Key is getting a little better, but no way she gets close to game condition in games. I think they're using her wisely. I thought it was funny that two crucial basket and ones were the exact play we hate the most. The tiny guards forcing it up amongst the trees. Both Powell and Wells had one of those late. Lucky for us they beat the odds this time.
Then JPs 3 pt coffin nail was just cold. Man good for her! She's been spotty but never, ever doesn't go hard af. So happy for her.
you said it...3 min of commercials on the last 5 mins of live play...I watched live stats during then ;p)Key is getting a little better, but no way she gets close to game condition in games. Can't say enough, that excuse for a broadcast was even worse than the level of play.
You would lose money if you think Tennessee at full strength is in the same league talent wise as South Carolina or LSU. This fan base is delusional. Why is the discussion about Oklahoma?

Glutten for punishment! Don't think I could sit through that amateur hour of a broadcast ever again.Would love to watch the replay of this game. Always can with the ESPN games this one doubt that will be possible.
Been cleared for conditioning since last spring. So I don't understand the lack of conditioning either. But I don't think it's on the training staff. Maybe lung capacity? KJH has also indicated many times a big piece is TK's confidence. I know I'd be nervous. But I'm pretty sure if it hasn't happened in 4 or 5 months, it's not going to anytime soon.Trying to figure out what they are doing with her. I don't think I've seen very many people saying that. Our best shot to me would be the LSU game at home and we would have to be at full strength to get it done. It will be a huge upset if we beat SC at home not going to beat them on the road. You would lose money if you think Tennessee at full strength is in the same league talent wise as South Carolina or LSU. What did they say I had the sound off. I can seldom stand the duos that braodcast our games.Glutten for punishment! Don't think I could sit through that amateur hour of a broadcast ever again.

TK did not participate in running in the practice I saw. Bikes instead. So not sure why that is still the case.
In the very limited time she was in, she was 1-1 from the floor and got 2 rebounds and picked up a foul. I say middle January - early February Tamari will be giving up some additional minutes on a regular basis. With how passive Jill has been playing, we need Tamari. Tamari is a 3-year starter in the SEC. The coaches would not have put her on the All-SEC Second team if they didn't know how much of an impact she can have on a game. Just need to keep playing her strategically until she has the confidence and conditioning to go longer stretches.Trying to figure out what they are doing with her. Hate to say it but all I was thinking when she put up that three and she missed it they would make a three and win by one. We've had so much bad luck in close games were due for some good luck.Biggest basket of the game was Powell's three with one second on the clock or Powells three with a two point lead. Both were crucial plays.
I think were a top ten team with Tamari of the sophomore season and Rickea 100 percent. What those would add just pushes us way up the talent level and makes everyone else on the team better because of the attention they draw.In the very limited time she was in, she was 1-1 from the floor and got 2 rebounds and picked up a foul. Your so right. I missed a great win and was so happy when I checked Live Stats and saw that we won without RK over a team that killed Ole Miss. Then, I turn to this thread and it was critical debate rather than some celebration. I guess I enjoy a big win more than some though I think that many who feel the same stay away from the stinky game threads.Best post of the day
