Yes quoting myself. I feel Wynn needs a shout out too. She reminds me of a more polished Glory Johnson as a freshman. So much potential in a body that already shows a lot. Hoping she realizes that same potential.Something I’ve just noticed is that I’m actually relieved when Miles comes in to the game. That’s a lot on a freshman, but I know there is good defense, great intensity, minimal risk of TOs, consistent 3 point shooting and generally good decision making. Wasn’t she ranked lowest of the incoming freshman while playing a position that requires focus and Bball IQ? I vaguely recall posters here questioning her consistency of intensity as well as her ability to not play me ball? These issues seem to be the very least of her issues. Such a ton of upside. Like others say about Puckett, I feel she seems to be holding a ton yet in Reserve.
Her pedigree has been questioned at length and ad nauseum by certain posters here. We know who one of them is.
Where y’all find the stats with the +/-? Someone needs to disclose plez! So, 12-1 and 1-0 SEC. 18 point SEC victory Despite missing our two best scorers. Everyone contributed, a true team win. FT's at 67%. Take away Dye's 2 for 12 night, our FG % is very good. Outrebounded them and doubled them in assists. Held them to 24%/17%. Tesss Darby with 2nd best +/- on the team, and 3 steals to go with her 3-3's. Attendance 8K on a no-student night during a pandemic upsurge in cases.
What's not to like?
Any basketball follower with functioning eyes can see, no matter how weak their vision might actually be, that Tennessee isn't winning these games with beautiful offensive schemes and execution.
But those same people are surely also seeing the hidden qualities are making a "fair" takent/execution team capable of performing at the level of a "really good" team despite their offensive shortcomings.
This is a team that absolutely begs to be assessed AFTER the entire season has been played and not before. Patience, friends. Patience is key!

Exactly. Did hit a couple of big 3s, but also an awful lot to work on.
No one but Jordan Walker for me. Unless she wants to share w Miles. Best backcourt play we've had in a long time. If/when Miles develops her shot we're cooking.
Just 14 t.o.s and Puckett had 6 of those. Much better.
Just think, some were highly critical when she was recruited and insisted that she was not a D1 player. Keep proving them wrong, Tess. GBO.Actually, I was pretty impressed with Tess tonight. 3 from 7 and all her misses were so close. Defensively, she was really solid, even against smaller, quicker players. Her positioning is generally really good. Even when she is not shooting, she is spreading the floor. Everyone on the team had some mental lapses so that a point of improvement before the next game.
