Disappointing loss for the fans. Some good things happened during the game but Stanford was the better team today. Glad this game was contested and we didn't fold.

That is key for the rankings,,,a minimal loss to a higher rank shouldn't affect us much

Need another post player badly. Evidently Karoline not ready and she is a little undersized as well. Won't have anyone this season is a must we find another big post next season. When Key goes out we become average on defense.

Karo will step it up...She won't let the next opportunity pass her by

darby can not help them if others do not set screns for open looks but her defence is improving horston forces to many shoots she should let dye shoot a few more

Great game for the freshmen to learn from. Playing the third rated team in the nation is what was needed. Also playing in front of a mega Tennessee crowd is food for the soul.
They failed in having four quarters of rebounding and Defense. Poor defense on three
point shooters and not boxing out will kill you every single time. Jones had too many rebounds in TBA. This is your house ,don't let
thieves have their way in your crib. This is your crib , don't let perks have their way in your house.

These numbers make no sense to me. Does this mean Puckett had the relatively worst game? Didn’t she score in double figures and have a decent number of rebounds? Is it performance on a per minute played basis? If Darby didn’t score how did she have a better game regardless of minutes played?

I really want to see Wynn and Striplin play a lot in the next two games. They need to play to get comfortable with the game speed offense and We’ve got to be able to play them for their defense.

Key was plus 19? She didn't even play 20 minutes, she fouled out, she had 0 offensive rebounds (5 total), she had 1 point. Yikes. We must have been
excellent defensively when she was in the game--but she provided absolutely nothing-- zilch--on the offensive end, and that was a big reason for the loss. Vols shot poorly, which is basically what we do in games against good opponents--been true for many, many years.

I guess I can't trust my source. He led me to believe attendance would be well above 12,000. 10 is still more than most teams draw, but still disappointing for a game like this.

VolBall, my game thread experience has gotten infinitely better since I started the practice of instantly putting people on IGNORE the very first time they post anything that sounds even remotely mean-spirited or overly dramatic. Gone ! Finis!

Absolutely. One thing is…this team is going to battle and never quit. When we are (prayerfully) 100%, we are going to be dangerous!

It's just point differential while the specific player is in the game.

Three starters went 15 for 47 from the field and the other two played 41 minutes and produced one point. Green was also 0 for 3 off the bench. The only offensive stat to be proud of is Puckett and Miles go 5 for 11 for 15 points. I thought we had a lot of good shots have to make more than 20 of 66 attempts. Wynn and Striplin need their opportunity no way they can be worse on offense than 1 point in 41 minutes. This game was winnable very poor shooting did us in defense and rebounding failed to save us this time. No one guarding us free throw line 13 misses. SEC could be extremely tough if our team can't find a way to score more efficiently defense and rebounding not always going to get you the win.

Our creators have to become better shooters, and our pure shooters who are more stationary have to be assisted by teammates to get open looks (and then use picks and screens to get open). Also, "creating your own shot" with jukes and jab steps and crossovers and spins does absolutely no good if you don't knock down the open shot. And drawing fouls may hurt the other team by removing key players, but you also have to make them pay at the line.

We flow (better) offensively when Tamari is in the game. She is our great equalizer offensively and defensively. When she isn’t in the game we struggle mightly.
