Nyla Brooks is going to be fine wherever she ends up. She is extremely athletic and talented. She would be really good in this type of system, but there was some type of disconnect with Caldwell. So who is the player who signed with North Carolina over is after she decommitted? I wonder if she’s regretting that decision:
Arkansas had only 9 steals?Hopefully not too off topic, but since Kim's run and gun style had some Arkansas comparisons/concerns, here's the box score for Arky's exhibition against Northeastern State, which they won 88 to 54
Yeah... might find some interesting reading tomorrow on other forums around the league...I think the other SEC teams are going to soon be noticing and watching what is going on in Knoxville, it’s real imo. This is going to be a difficult team to game plan for.
Bruised, it’s looking way past half full buddy. This team runs fast and hard all the time. So fun to watch, your coach is onto something new, she is a front runner imo. This is exciting tbh, to see a new style in the P4 leagues that is cutting edge doesnt happen often.Yeah... might find some interesting reading tomorrow on other forums around the league...
Ah! I don't know how to post gifs!

Somewhat random thought:
Kaiya Wynn was missed tonight. Her quickness would’ve made the press even more dreadful. She also has SEC experience. It appears we’re pretty deep, but her absence is def an adjustment.
8 assists for Spencer. I’m all in on CKC also.Just got back from the game. I haven't read the thread yet, so I imagine that some of this will be a repeat of some earlier comments. While I know you can't assume to much from an exhibition game, the stark difference between this year's versus last year's exhibition game is astounding. It has been years since I have seen a LV team play with great defensive effort for 40 minutes, even with an 80-point lead. I have made my love about Jordy's basketball skills evident in past few years, so imagine my thrill about having two Jordy like players on this year's team: Cooper and Ruby. Ruby was just amazing, totally in the zone with everything she did. Spearman was a pleasant surprise, really athletic but a bit better offensively here than I expected. One concern I had about Spencer was her play and attitude at Arkansas. She shot all the time and didn't seem to play team ball, which may have been more about the team and not her. However, it was amazing how unselfish she was. She constantly looked for and found the open player and even passed up a couple of shots that would have been appropriate ones for her to take. I know it is early, we won't win championships this year, and there will be growing pains, but I am all in for Coach Kim Caldwell!
Yeah, I think all are solid defenders for sure.To be honest Kaniya Boyd, Coop, and Lazaria Spearman are the three most natural on ball defenders I’ve seen in Tennessee since Jordan Horston. They haven’t even reach their full potential defensively.
Kaiya was a very solid and gritty defender in her own right. I believe Latham will step into that defensive role to fill the void of Kaiya.
