I think it will translate very well, as in a 12-4 SEC record. I know I hedged before this scrimmage and said 11-5 was possible, but I really believe it will be 12-4 now. Who knows, but that is my thought on the matter. This LV team is way different than any in the past 8 years, it is dangerous as hell.

Nobody has mentioned the bench energy!!!! For the entire 40 minutes the energy from EVERY coach and EVERY player was ELITEEEE(Gabe voice)!!! The energy on Rocky top is just different! I was at the game and Samara is LOUD!!!!!!! She was pumping up her teammates and I could hear it many rows up. We’ve never seen the bench this excited!

LOL! I just realized what y'all thought that glass meant! NO!

That was supposed to be a gif from Jurassic Park when ripples form in the glass from T-Rex approaching (and thus, my looking for reactions to this game on other team's forums).

Naw--this LV jug is full and capable of overflowing!

That would be the best balance of speed, athleticism and skills. Spearman and Hollingshead will no doubt get some starts when size is an issue, One of them may carve out a starter role.

Spear is the rightful heir to the team alpha tag, but Cooper is anxious to show what she can do, and Whitehead is used to always being the alpha type. I don’t know which ones start, but all three will be fixtures in the lineup. Those are the three alpha types.

Cooper, Spear, Whitehorn, Puckett and Spencer was my call three days ago for the starting lineup. I don't say this to put a feather in the cap, I just wanted to point out it was sorta obvious who the top dogs are in this system. I believe some were inserting a big into the starting lineup like Spearman or Hollingshead just because most teams do that. Not so fast my friend, not in this system.

The team is not small at all. This is WBB. Tennessee still is one of the tallest teams by any measures in the SEC.
The bigs on this roster fit the system perfectly. All the size needed is on the roster. Having additional players on the roster with height that aren’t going to play does not serve a purpose.

Oh my gawd, y'all! By the time conference play starts this team could be extremely hard to beat. 😲

Yes, it was just an exhibition against a shorthanded opponent, but hustle is hustle, and our Lady Vols, even this early in the season, were relentless.

Kim Caldwell and her staff have already succeeded.
