At one point as a Junior in HS Kaniya Boyd was the 25th ranked player in her class.
She stopped going to those AAU/Showcase camps after committing to Tennessee.
Everyone knows these HS rankings aren’t always accurate.
The fans who criticize HS recruiting have not even acknowledge that this talented 4-star athletic guard committed early in the process and is now on campus.
These same fans complained and talked endlessly about TN staff needing to offer excessive amounts of NIL money to sign players that even when these recruiting services dropped Boyd ranking for not attending camps are ranked lower than Boyd or right around the 25-35 range.
These people will never be satisfied.

We got plenty of “I won’t stand for mediocrity fans”. Not sure I get the position. Kellie has not executed a mediocre record thus far, in my humble opinion. That’s probably the disconnect. Zero humility with the Kellie bashers. Glass houses and such…

Not a fan of Holly. Not from Middle Tennessee. I am from East Tennessee. I unlike most of you fine people remember the good ole days when we played defense, ran a good offense and hand picked any player we wanted. I also think we can return to those days chuckipoop. And I also respect other peoples opinions unless their screen name is chuckipoop. Sorry to disappoint you.

Grow up. Name calling at ur ripe age is embarrassing. You are showing ur maturity. Give ur tantrum up and get off ur phone. Nobody is the equivalent to a Pat Summit, the sooner some of you fans realize that the better u will be. Kellie has did just fine here in contrary to ur belief.

Name calling? I can’t spell remember. Sorry. Kellie is fine if you want to be a top 20-35 team. You guys are correct 👍 we should all just be happy making it to the tournament and making it to the round of 32. Heck we made the sweet 16 last year. We should all just be happy happy.

Glad we won. We really played just as poorly for much of the first 15 minutes tonight as we did at the start of our last two games. On defense, our starting 5 got beat almost every play early in the game. The only reason we stayed in it early was Puckett's threes and Florida missing some open shots. I can't really understand how we can come so flat in defense for almost every game. Some of it is the starting 5, but all of those players still play better later in the game.
On a positive note, Spear is blowing me away the way she has changed her game to be so much more complete. I love the ball in her hands on offense more than anyone: She commits few turnovers, she is calm, and she so easily drives in and makes her shots or gets fouled and makes her free throws. I would put the ball in her hands at the end of every quarter. Her defense is improving too. Other kudos for Hollingshed for rebounding and improved defense, Puckett's buckets, and Key's continuing Renaissance (hey, I had to get my name in there).
