Game Thread Lady Vols at West Virginia

Dead serious a lot is going on this year and lot has happened personally for some players. And Davis personally I know has had some things transpire off the court. Be thankful she’s even playing this year. While we out at home sitting on our but ya watching them play. Remember they are young adults with a life off the court .

This was the time to win a game like this. Davis played like a wallflower, and Harper let one slip away down the stretch. So much for sending a message that we are here to play again. This team is just too content. In a shortened season, this is not the time to be casual and non-opportunistic.

I followed from Live Stats. Seems to me that really bad shooting did us in. Your 2 best scorers go 9-29. Lose to a good team on the road means we did alot of good things as well. So you go back to practice and you continue to work and we will get better. In CHRIST Alone

11% from three and hard as it would be, Davis should have sat most of 2nd half. Finally, I listened, rather than watched, but I still struggle to see what KK brings to the floor to justify her minutes.

But you used to put it on Holly! 🥴 make it make sense.
I put it on Holly in the beginning and then I stop putting on her and started putting it on the players! Look at the entire history of me being on here and make that make sense!

I thought overall Horston played a good game. Her defense was great. Maybe a sign of good things to come.
Agree. Outstanding defensively. But I say again, when she's at point we go immediately to one on one ball or try a fancy pass. Right now, I still want her at 2. Our last few possesions were bad on bad

I just want RD to know that when she attacks the rim and is aggressive from the Jump (with the way Rae is playing now and the other supporting cast) we will be tough to beat! Her only shooting 2 fouls (I know there were calls she should’ve gotten that she didn’t) is a problem! She should easily be taking 10 foul shots a game (imo)

Disappointed in so many things that cost us this very winnable game. Still disagree with Kellie's reluctance to use time outs.

All that aside, very disappointed that Kellie chose to leave Em on the bench. Unless she's in the disciplinary doghouse, no excuse for not letting her see the floor in front of her home crowd. And not just saying that in hindsight now that we lost anyway, but any player who works hard in practice deserves that one-timr courtesy, similar to starting seniors on tbeir night.

Some bright spots (FT shooting, Burrell's continued improvement, Horston's defense and offense, Green offense), but many of the familiar but infamous old problems still present. Maybe better we lost if it can be used to correct mistakes from both players and coaches.
