I had to record the game and just finished watching it.

Nice to see an inept fielding team and it not be Tennessee.

Moss was great. Ahead of the batters and in control of her pitches. Her change was great. Has Tennessee found their third pitcher? If so, it bodes well for the rest of the season and the next three years. If she can pitch like this, it frees up Gaffin to go back to first or to the outfield as another poster suggested. I like her at first, I think she is a better fielder than Aucoin and the outfield is good defensively with McClain, Vines, and Geathers.

If Geer continues playing third the way she did today, she'll never get back to the outfield. She made three really good plays including the stab of the hard grounder behind the bag and the long throw to first to throw the runner out.

The bats have loosened up. This team could always hit - it's just a matter of timely hits, hitting when runners are in scoring position.

This team has shown resiliency in the past. Now is the time to show the mental toughness to finish the series - don't get careless because of the big win and put the stake in them tomorrow.

I liked Lawrie, I thought she had a smooth even delivery and I liked her analysis. She's a lot better than Raven or poor Allison Fulmer.

hopefully Matty will be the 3rd pitcher,I haven't seen Busch pitch much in awhile

Geer looked pretty good at 3rd,i assume the coaches don't like McSwain at 3rd now

i'm with you on the infield defense,they need to get a lot better than what they have shown for much of this year

No bat. Plus they have fielders as good as her who do have a bat. Ralph has talked about trying to turn her into a slap hitter because of her speed, but with little success. With Geer at third, she will get more PT.

will it be to much pitching for Gaffin ? i'm sure it will cut down on her being able to come in and pitch a couple of innings as a reliever,who will they be going too ?

I don't question UT's ranking, but TA&M with a 31-6 record and being from the SEC will get you a high ranking. They did lose three to Georgia and lost to UCLA out of conference. They are ranked too high and their pitching isn't great but any team with the bats they have is going to win some games.

Jeff I just watched the game as well because I was out of town during game. Glad Gaffin and Aucoin was seeing the ball today as well as most everyone else. As someone mentioned above that the only real question mark I saw was when Gaffin tried to score from 3rd on the booted ball by the shortstop. Leading 3-0 at the time I myself really did not have a problem with it. She may be a tad slow but after booting the ball she was already erratic and she had to go pick up the ball and make a great throw, which she did. Other than Leach today and a couple of others I still think our bunting is atrocious.
Great game today by Matty. I would not be surprised to see Erin start tomorrow. Moss can and will be our number 3 pitcher because Bush has seemed to have lost all control of her pitches and she does not have the speed to throw it past hitters. Maybe next year for her.

Moss HAS been our no. 3 pitcher for most of the season, and pitched reasonably well. The coaches made a bad decision not to pitcher her in the finale against Missouri.

Yeah the bunting isn't good. I too assume Erin will start Sunday. Nice to see Moss pitch like she did.
