Yeah I think Danny White will go big if he can, which is why it might take longer than some want. Definitely won't happen during the year.

I don't think the old guard has that much influence any more, both bc of attrition and bc they shot their wad with Holly and Kellie. I don't think White will be afraid of them, and the program can't afford it. Have to get the next hire right.

Given Danny’s track record he will hire the best available person for the job. We need someone who can coach basketball and who players want to play for. Kids are dying to play for that guy and it shows in the product. He’s definitely the one I’d like to see.

Haven’t been in new coach thought mindset so don’t have anyone else in mind.

There can't be many of them left, right? When I started attending SEC tournament games in the late 90's it was like visiting my grandmother in the nursing home. i say that sorta jokingly, but there's a reason why our attendance is declining year over year. Our fanbase is dying faster than they are being replaced. Ask yourself, when is the last time the TN women's program excited fans? No new fans and more and more losses is a self-fulfilling prophecy of irrelevance.

Yeah I do not want another Lady Vol. It’s too hard to see them try and fail. It’s just not meant to be.

The only one I could imagine is Alex Simmons but she does not have enough experience. Her teams play hard but she’s never led a program anywhere near this. We need someone who understands winnng at the P5 level. That isn’t going to come from the Lady Vol coaching tree.

Danny shot himself in the face by giving her a contract extension. I'm sure Kellie convinced him she needed it so that recruits would come if there were coaching stability at UT. Well guess what - we still don't have a top 20 recruiting class according to ESPN.

He's got a big fat egg sitting on his face that needs to be wiped off. Unless there's a complete 180 during conference play, she gone...

If you haven’t noticed, women’s basketball is popular. Lots of teams are packing their arena. We are not. The long time “in crowd” fans will have no pull in this one. That’s not the demographic we need to be catering to and White knows that.

I hope your right! This is exactly why I’m against the hiring of VFL’s...because it hurts too damn much to have to let them go! I have fond memories of Kelly Jolly and that’s kinda how I’d like to keep it, not her getting fired and Vol fans turning on her!😞
