I completely agree with you. It should have been called. I just thought it was not an egregious miss compared to the other whiffed calls. She was already barreling in and it was a physical play. But I agree it was a call that should have been made.

Yeah. Holly confirmed that that wasn't the play but she was glad she made it. The LV probably still would have won in OT had it gone there but with a game tomorrow it was best to get it done in 40 minutes.

I feel different in that i think we lose in the overtime but it is all irrelevant now. Sit Jamie and let her heal some for the big dance. We will have to play well to get to the Sweet 16. JMHO

I'm not really sure what to think in regard to Westbrook because I believe (and still do) that she's the real deal. I am kind of surprised she seems to have let it affect her mentally too. I think she'll regain her confidence and turn this slump around.

When i Went after Westbrook early on when we played all the cupcakes i received pushed back from some on this board. Now maybe some of the fans on this board will stop and think. But this all falls on Holly for not ripping Westbrook face to face on the court yest on the court. Also Holly should have moved Westbrook out of the pg spot a long time ago.

This game was the most aggressive that I have ever seen Russell play. I can’t really knock Holly’s coaching because the freshmen were very erratic tonight. Tennessee is lucky that turnovers did not sink them down the toilet. One would think that coaching and game experience would have cured the careless mistakes.Davis is the real deal and appears more like an upperclassman than the other freshmen. Next year, she may be our best player.

Westbrook is a lot like Deshields,IMO, plays lackadaisical and with no emotions at all. Almost like she doesn’t seem to care. I hope and think she could be a very good player if she could just believe that herself.

Perhaps not as egregious but much more obvious...I mean you have Nared flying through the air and landing hard on the floor. Did notice in the next possession one of the Vols planted an Auburn dribble driver into the basket stanchion. The problem with missing calls that obvious is you run the risk of letting the game get out of hand and someone gets hurt.

Well, a FR almost lost this game for us and another FR won it for us. So all FR aren't playing like FR.

Duh, Gail goestenkors, if that trip was Not a foul then the lady Vols better have a new defensive scheme. Trip anyone who is getting by you, as long as your foot gets there 1st it should be a no call. That call particularly sucks, cuz Jamie had her beat, which is why the defender just stopped. She didn’t even contest, but yet drew contact and injured a player and was not called for a foul.

On another note, why does it look like Rennia gets mauled like every time she is under the basket, yet shot no ft’s?

Pat had confidence and self-esteem. The longer the players were with her, the more it rubbed off on them.

I’m afraid Holly might be the exact opposite or reverse. Players seem to lose confidence the longer they are with her.

Plus, I’m sorry, but you just beat the 10 seed in the SEC tournament on a buzzer beater. This was not the national championship game. This should have never been in doubt I don’t think Pat would be celebrating after a game like this. Expect and require excellence or retire. The kids have enough friends.

No but she needs to quit bringing up the bench because they are exactly as you say terrible. We don't play them for a reason but when we have a close game Holly always says we got to start using that bench when she knows they are not a factor. Next year we might actually have a bench to play.

Lot of opinions on here that are far from the facts. Move Westbrook from PG? Lol. She can't shoot. She has the best court vision and passing ability of any LV I can remember. Her entire talent and skill set matches no other position but PG. Her issue is being "too comfortable" with the ball and her passes. Way too nonchalant. It's decision making. That can, and must, improve.

Show me the tape i disagree ! The only thing Holly do is jump up and down stomp her feet or put her hands on her hips that`s it.
