CHW is right about one thing. These freshman hate to lose. As bad as Hayes and Westbrook played for the first 36 minutes, their refusal to give up and need to win saved us during the last 4 minutes.

That run at about the minute mark saved them. Ball handling still needs work. Going to be a tough three road games upcoming. Go Lady Vols! Make it 15-0!

Good win. Team had some problems with TO's and that's to be expected against Auburn. They thrive on creating TO's physically and mentally. I'm happy that we kept it under 30 rebounds. But, LV's 14-0.

And the Lady Vols played like the Nr. 7 team in the Nation!

Evina almost had a double double 18 points and 9 turnovers. :crazy:

Annie's speed countered Auburn's press.

Jaime played chaotic with the ball (she makes me nervous when she dribbles) but she's a warrior playing every single minute and getting to the free throw line makes her THE GO TO PLAYER for the Lady Vols.

To close for comfort but we WON!

GO LADY VOLS! :rock:

Do you say that about Geno’s six player rotations when he is winning by 50 and still only plays six? We are good with putting whoever is going to help us win on the floor KKs time will come... Dunbar will get spot time later on as far as Harris ,well, working on her offensive game could help afford her time next year with Russell gone.

This is the kind you have to win when you play terrible and still find a way. Auburn has five seniors that play a lot so they are an experienced team were far more talented, but didn't have the energy we need until that last three minutes then suddenly we made it happen.
We don't want to lose any at home this season. I know we've got a tough stretch coming up after Vandy. Get that one at home then see how we fare in three road games out of the next four and a home game against Miss St.

Uhh, good teams don't commit 28, mostly unforced, turnovers in the first place.

Lots and lots of turnovers BUT...18 assists on 21 field goals is pretty darn good.

Good gritty W for the LVs. Last year, we lose this game. This team will get tougher and the FR will get better and better in the next month as the competition steps up.

But how many teams do you think will have the motor that an Auburn team has.... not many...

For whatever reason, we haven't been very good against the press it seems for several years. If they can get that figured out that will significantly cut down the TO's.

The way we were playing early in the season we could beat anybody. Since Stanford we have become a lot more passive in our play and making a lot of bad mistakes. Rennia is not playing like she played early. 9 assists and 14 turnovers by Hayes and Westbrook tonight but they did score 25 points so all they need is better decisions with the ball.

Auburn made 59 points on 79 shots which is worse than terrible. We score 70 points on 47 shots. Turnovers have to come down or a loss is coming. I think we can beat Vandy with 30 turnovers, but we'll lose to A&M is we can't rebound and limit turnovers in that game.

ND can’t afford to do that, Ms St presses sometimes, SC doesn’t really press, and A&M presses sporadically. Now these teams may try and implement this but I don’t know if they have the same amount of success. Unlike last years team this one finds a way to win.
