I said this about 6 /7 times that uncontested or meekly contested layups beat the LV's in both the Oklahoma and LSU games .......and unless there is some change it will result in losses to other good,Top 25 teams. The LV Coach said after the Oklahoma game that the LV's need to get somebody in front of opposing players when they cross the half court line to stop these uncontested layups when they break the press.

We are considerably more talented than that team. People can hate me us much as they want but there is a reason I was pissed with the way we played against them. That was our best opportunity for a statement win. Was truly a must win if we wanted to be taken seriously.

Their last possession began with 0:22 to go. We definitely should’ve wasted the fouls we had to give starting with about 6-7 seconds left, to shorten their last play setup. Not a shooting foul, but on the floor before she started her drive.
Anyway, proud of the team & very optimistic about what CKC has doing.

I am again excited to watch our Lady Vols Basketball team!

Naw but anyone can always cheer for LSU or any other team. If LSU was what you claim then the game wouldn’t have been close.
Tennessee has what they need on their roster right now and the #1/#2 HS recruiting class in 2025.

I still disagree pretty vehemently with the usage of the word “can’t” here. Two close losses doesn’t mean we can’t beat those teams. We DIDN’T beat them, but I think the ladies will keep getting better throughout the season. Who knows what happens in game two?

Guarantee neither of those teams wants to play us again. You wouldn’t feel that way about a team that couldn’t beat you.

This team is pretty damn close to being outstanding. Fix the defense on dribble drives and bust your butt back down the court on missed shots. Oklahoma and LSU sprinted for fast breaks when they got the rebound. Both teams knew they wanted to take it all the way for a layups.
