I'm not targeting you but can we please stop with this SEC line? The goal is National Titles not SEC titles and right now there is no correlation between the two. The SEC was a good and deep conference as demonstrated by the 5 teams making the sweet 16. But there is nothing great about anybody in our conference. At the 16 minute mark in the LSU game it appears 3 of our 5 remaining teams are going down in the sweet 16 round by double digits and none played good games. The fourth will probably go down tonight to UNC. Leaving Texas A&M to further the cause against UConn lol.

Hopefully, we all want that because I think Holly is the right person for right now.

The expectations for her and the pressure are enormous (whoever replaced Wooden could relate) and that is something we have to keep in mind not just on the fan end but also in terms of how much it weighs on her (and would on anyone stepping into Coach Summit's shoes right now) but I expect that next year she'll be much more comfortable as a coach and that in turn will produce better results.

I would love to watch one of their practices just to see exactly what they do. I find it extremely hard to believe you continually practice fundamentals and have performances like that. One bad game maybe, but there have been multiple games. Kids looked lost and the coach looked lost in this game.

When it comes to our players it's seems like everything said to them goes in one ear and out the other.

SEC got a whipping today as LSU and SC lose also. Only Texas A&M left and looks like their last game is coming up.

The thing that worries me is Holly talked about all the time they spent on defense wanted to get that right and then they go and let Maryland score 41 in the first half. No great defense gives up more than thirty in any half. If you give up more than that defense is not great.

Tennessee has recruited the wrong athlete for the last 5+ years. They are a bunch of spoiled brats with attitudes. It shows all over their faces on the court. They give up quickly. They don't dig deep when things don't go their way. They get frustrated and pout. None of them can shoot worth a damn. Gino at UCONN pulls player after player out of HS and they all seem to exceed the prior players there. UT can't recruit anymore. UT has gone downhill and frankly Holly is not the answer to fix it. While not the coach for the entire 4 years of the current senior class, she was here for all the games and for the recruiting and she has failed. Failed miserably. This current team is one of the worst in the last 35 years.

Check the win/loss record. Not a failure. No NC hardware but about 348 other schools don't have it either. Ready to fire a coach after two winning seasons? I'm not.

Coates wasn't going to leave her state. But it's pretty much indisputable that she was the SEC's best freshman. She's going to give us Hell for the next 3 years.

348 teams my ass. Most of the time in women's basketball you can be the 3rd-5th best team in the country and have almost zero chance of winning it all. Losing before the Final Four is like going to the NIT in the men's game.

You disagree with the number of teams that won't win the NC this year? I could be off one or two. And, no to losing before the final four being like going to the NIT. But, JMHO.

I don't think the players have attitudes, save Burdick and Reynolds. Burdick is especially bad, because she preens and prances way too much for a player with her results. When she can come out game after game and produce consistently good results, then she's earned the right to show some swag. Until then, just play bathe damn game. The jury's out on Reynolds if she becomes good enough to earn the right to show off some swag.

Graves need a to get more positive. She looked miserable on the court this season, and her game reflected that.

I'm willing to give her 10 more years. If she doesn't get the needed experience by then, the administration should start to consider replacing her. Would that be a good plan?

It's called a bully. In the Kentucky game she made a bold aggressive move toward Samarie Walker. Samarie didn't back up an inch. Seeing that, SB quickly retreated.

I won't disagree with you. Frankly speaking, I have no doubt that most Tennessee fans would hate her if she didn't play for their team...and not for the reasons we hated Taurasi.

RIP Lady Vols basketball legacy. You were a true giant. May you be remembered for your competitive spirit, sportsmanship and for all those ladies who completed their degrees with honor.

Time to rebuild.

I keep reading about Tenn needs Wilson. Tenn has a great roster of players and Russell and Harrison need to learn to play together. Graves was great last season.Burdick is a good player. Tenn does not need Wilson to go to the FF. What they need is to play as a team, share the ball, stop dribbling all over the place and make more passes. Passing will eliminate all those turnovers. It all starts with defense and with a height advance over most teams Tenn needs to play perimeter defense against teams with good shooters. The bigs will take care of penetration. Help defense is another need Tenn lacked this season. With quick guards and a height advantage you shouldnt lose. Next season imo is a telling season. Playing the game as a team has to be the one change Tenn makes or next season will be just like this season.
