It is really hard to lose when you hold a team to 40 points. That was great defense we didn't let them get in any kind of offense today.

With all the MacDonald's AA players on this team, and they cannot break 60 points. I don't get the offense being taught to these young ladies. This is the third game in a row scoring under 60 and the fourth time this season. Something is not right. Kudos to Graves for her double/double.

Who cares if they break 60 points? They won the game, jeez. I don't care if they never break 60, 50 or 40 points as long as they win the game.

Carter and Reynolds' shooting. When you have three players on the court that can dependably score, then your offense will sputter.

They will win a lot of games this year with this kind of defensive effort, but will need to work out the kinks in the offense to make a deep run in the tournament.

I expect all the reasons that the LVols won from many of our less than positive posters was that Stanford wasn't very good and that Graves double double was a fluke and and and and. Of course that head coach from Stanford - she isn't very good either.

a pretty good offensive performance by UT standards. I emphasize by UT standards, which are pretty low when it comes to offense. Encouraging win. Great defense, and we moved the ball with purpose on offense. We need Massengale to hit threes, and need to make open shots. Still a LONG way to go offensively. Hope Jones is OK.

Stanford sucks. It's not like they've beaten anyone good this year. Can anyone name even one semi decent team they've beaten?

As encouraging as our play was, that was probably the worst Stanford team I've seen in more than 20 years. I have no idea how they beat Ct. Obviously, Ct. did not play well in California. As someone said earlier, Stanford wouldn't get within 25 of the huskies on a neutral court now. Rebuilding year for the Cardinal.

Yea, as someone who has been enormously critical of our coaching, it did look like the team had gotten some offensive coaching--for a change! I think Warlick was/is under pressure to improve the offense--which has been crap for about 10 years. That's what they are supposed to do--and it's not like moving the ball crisply is rocket science. It's basketball 101, though in most games we don't seem to do it. Encouraging performance on both ends of the court, for sure. We've got deficiencies, for sure, but also more talent and experience than 99 percent of the teams we play, so it's time we started showing that.

I agree 100% - It sometimes comes down to timing. Stanford played Ucon in a game where UCon didn't do anything right. We could have nailed them too - probably better.
In watching UCon play the Irish I couldn't believe they were the same team.

They beat UConn, who doesn't lose to bad teams.

Stanford has the talent on this team, but they are a perimeter scoring team. If you limit that and control the boards, they will struggle.

I know it's devastating that they won today, but no need to disparage Stanford to feel better about today's win.

Great win for our LVs. I wish each player & coach a Merry Christmas. Now, come back all rested up from the break & start where you left off....by winning more games.

I don't care who they put in front of us( top 5 etc) if we play defense like this the rest of the year i like our chances!!

Offense sells tickets....Defense wins championships!!!

Regardless of how our offense looks if we don't let the other team score we will always be in the game.

Ladies and gentlemen has the light bulb switch turn on???

Defense and offense looked better today. Still some issues with our outside shooting, especially 3s. I think we were like 1-11 at half. Stanford looked horrible, I hope the main reason was our tenacity on defense.

Just to clarify for everyone: one is a number, like one more than zero, won is a victory over your competition like we won the game. Hope that clarifies it for everyone.
