Biggest in a while. They beat us in the SEC tourney in Memphis in like 2001 toward the end of the Meek era. That was huge for them. I pouted all the way thru Graceland the next day when my family forced me to take them there. This really is Vanderbilt’s biggest win ever
LOL! You know this how?
By a coach in just 8 months of recruiting the current roster to stay, plus four players that started in the ACC and SEC via the portal with all four currently averaging double figures, and a HS recruiting class ranked #1/#2 in 2025 with 5 players nominated for selection to the McD AA team.
If you think it’s because of NIL then you don’t have a clue.
As I said, CKC recruiting is better than NIL.
Maybe Ashley McElhiany- Ashley Ayers now?? .. she’s married and her and her husband are coaches of USJ university school of Jackson in Tennessee. Now her daughter, Haylen is one of the top prospects in her class. Ashley had Haylen young and not with the guy she’s with now. Haylen has natural skill that you just can’t teach.Biggest in a while. Anyone remember the name of their center who Michelle Snow just couldn't guard? PG was Ashley something and my kids said she looked like Minnie Mouse. Those two were hell for us for a couple of years.

Yes! Chantelle Anderson! How could I have forgotten. I'll bet Snow hasn't forgotten.

Tennessee was outbid for four of the five kids committed in this class, but they came here because they connected with the coaching staff, something that just wasn’t happening with the previous staff.LOL! You know this how?
Caldwell and her staff would have gotten none of those recruits without the competitive NIL funds that they now have available.
Was thinking the same thing. One swears off till the tournament, the other shows up just in time to engage. Pop the corn…
It was Chantelle Anderson I believe is who you are talking about and she was one of the Best centers in the nation that year. 6-6 and very sturdy. In those days, that type of center was dominate. Basically every possession went to her. Not sure if Balcomb was their head coach at that point, but Vandy was tough back then.Biggest in a while.
