I know people like to vent after games like this and some good points made. The main point is however no one on this board can fire her. Not going to happen until after the season so we'll just need to let it play out. As far as Rickea she did more than her part in losing that game last night both on defense and offense. Very poor shooting by the team. 30 percent overall on 68 shot attempts. Bama only had 59 shot attempts but made 27 so there you go game is about making shots. Only 12 Tennessee turnovers to their 14 and rebounds even, but they shot the lights out and we well you saw what happened.Whether this team ultimately makes the tournament or not, the mere fact we’re even talking about missing the tournament as a possibility in Year 5 is prima facie evidence that Kellie isn’t getting it done.
Rickea Jackson didn’t put off being a WNBA first round pick for a year to come back to a bubble team. She was told we would be back in Final Four contention if she came back. We as fans were told that too.
Even if we sneak into the tournament in the end, if we don’t get past the round of 32, there still should be a change. We didn’t wait for Holly to blow the tournament streak to fire her. There’s no reason to lower the bar for Kellie either. This is Tennessee. It’s time to act like it.
We'll hold then accountable when the AD holds them accountable. Until then what is the point exactly?Lack of accountability drives apathy. Some on this board would defend the devil himself if he were the LV head coach...so many don't want to hold this staff accountable for whatever reason. Don't say loyalty, because you aren't being loyal to the program, just loyal to a subpar coaching staff with a former player as HC.
Think about this. The Tennessee Lady Vols are on the bubble and very likely to miss an invitation to the NCAA tournament.Whether this team ultimately makes the tournament or not, the mere fact we’re even talking about missing the tournament as a possibility in Year 5 is prima facie evidence that Kellie isn’t getting it done.

It's more that we have no ability to hold anyone "accountable" for anything. Zero involved people are accountable to us. If you donate or go to games you can stop, but other than that our strongly worded posts and other grumblings mean nothing.Lack of accountability drives apathy. Pretty much they shot well bc as always, we either had trouble getting thru screens and most of all, trouble closing out on shooters. One big defensive accomplishment is we absolutely shut down their co SEC POW who's been red hot. Barker was 3-11 shooting for 9 pts. Some very good one on one D made her shots much more difficult to find. I have to watch the replay, the first defender on her was Rickea and I know others helped too. You would think holding SAB down and just having to deal w Nye's 21 would be enough, but we just couldn't hit shots. Period.Just from listening to the radio broadcast, it seemed that the reason Alabama shot so well is because they ran an efficient offense and we left their shooters open too often. Many times the word "screen" was used when they had the ball; I rarely heard that when we had the ball.
All of Powell's points came in the second half. That critical second foul call on her, a call they changed from a travel on bama to a foul on Powell, was really the turning point in the game. Powell sat most of the first half. Wynn did not have one of her better games.Looking back at the box score, some of our girls actually shot decently or pretty well.
Key 4-7; Puckett 3-8; Striplin 2-3; even Powell at 5-11. 40% isn't great (it helps when threes are included as with two of Sara's), but it can win games if enough people pitch in and if we defend our opponent decently and don't give up second shots.
Nye made a lot of perimeter shots still they only got 59 shots at goal to our 68. We missed a lot of easy inside shots. Unusual bad game for Rickea and Jewell on the same night. They shot 46 percent which is about what you should expect. We shot 35 not what we should expect. So if we shoot the same percentage or close we win a close game. Usually were in a possession deficit in games we play and we finally have a surplus of possessions and can't shoot the ball.Just from listening to the radio broadcast, it seemed that the reason Alabama shot so well is because they ran an efficient offense and we left their shooters open too often. Interestingly, attendance is actually better this year than in several years. This from my eye test as someone who goes to all the home games. Sunday crowds have been especially good. I do think there might be a pretty big drop off next year. The fans don’t have to wait for DW to do anything. An empty TBA would suffice.
Exactly how? You need a plan to make that happen. Since the crowds are up this year. When posters print a post without a solution I like to know how we could do that? Or we could be patient like Danny White is going to do and wait until the end of the season. I'm not going Sunday so that is a start. You’re so sensitive
We don’t know the reason Rickea came back, I’m sure she knew this roster wouldn’t get it done.Whether this team ultimately makes the tournament or not, the mere fact we’re even talking about missing the tournament as a possibility in Year 5 is prima facie evidence that Kellie isn’t getting it done.

When u have Darby and Pucket trying to close out on shooters, the offense looks good, if we had quicker defenders they would have a hard time getting open shots.Just from listening to the radio broadcast, it seemed that the reason Alabama shot so well is because they ran an efficient offense and we left their shooters open too often.
