She's playing to knock the rust off. She has to get back in game shape before Rutgers. But, Harrison and Nia playing together with Middleton and Nared jeez. Two bigs who run the floor, Middleton and Nared's court vision and Massengle 3 point shot. Can we try-out this lineup please?

That's not a bad offensive lineup, but we'll get killed on defense. Moore's not tough enough, and Nared's not experienced enough, and Massengale's just plain terrible on D.

It is amazing how much better Louisville is coached than we are. It is stark.

Can anyone tell me if they have ever seen a dynasty program like we had turned over to a life-long assistant and it ever work?

For God's sake, do you people EVER have anything good to say, or do you just come here to whine and b****?

What a bunch of losers. Pipe down already.

hmmm i can't think of one, injuries and players being out have hurt this team,it would be great to have Russell healthy,Izzys been out,but she is back and Tucker out of the doghouse

and the freshmen are learning SEC womens basketball,so the future looks good, just a ruff stretch right now, hopefully that is all it is

This team is coached poorly. By the end of the season we won't even be hearing from you.

I have plenty good to say. But there were a few stretches today where the team just looked disinterested and let Lipscomb do whatever they wanted. I'm glad UT won, and I have no doubt they have the talent to make it as far as they want to go in the tournament, but when they turn the ball over two or three times in a row I wish we'd call a timeout and someone would challenge them to play at a higher gear. What was it Popovich said to the Spurs a few years ago in the playoffs? They seemed hesitant and lacked confidence, and he said "play hard, good passes -- I want some nasty." And when UT lost to Ball State in the tournament, Summitt hauled them back out to practice during the tournament and said something to the effect of "they have to understand that it's unacceptable to lose like this" in the news, and IIRC she was talking about how Ball State played with an attitude UT lacked. I know Summitt's not the coach anymore, but I think that mindset is something the team could do with a bit more of. I'll always support 'em ... but they could use a little more nasty.

No, it isn't "coached poorly." You, however, are a piss poor excuse for a fan and, in my opinion, a piss poor excuse for a human being, as well. And if the avatar under your moniker is actually you, well, you look ridiculous, so pardon me if I don't take anything you say seriously.

By the end of the season we won't even be hearing from you.

Don't bet on that.

Louisville just chucked a 13 pt halftime lead at home in a loss to UK, so today's probably not the best day for that comparison.

All in all, in a weekend of watching games, what is clear is that Geno runs the smoothest offense. The rest of the teams, especially when up against other top teams, just ugly ugly FUGLY offenses...and this includes SC and ND.

Two good teams coached by two good coaches. Are you telling me you wouldn't take Walz or Mitchell over Warlick?

Lucky for me I don't care about your opinion.

Louisville was up by 14pts and lost by 9pts today. That doesn't sound like a coach who has it all together!

He's been there 8 years and has 5 sweet 16's and two NC appearances. He brought them from nowhere. Do you think Holly will have that in 8 years?

I think that Jeff Walz is a really good coach, but Mitchell? I don't see anything markedly better than Warlick. When was the last time you saw UK play with a disciplined half court offense? UK presses relentlessly and relies on turnovers and fast break opportunities. Deny those two things, and they look even worse than Tennessee on offense.

If the option was there, I'm not convinced that Mitchell is an upgrade over Warlick. Certainly not as an Xs and Os coach, although I think that he does better of motivating his teams.

Yet he still has no NC! Isn't that what we are aiming for? I understand you don't like Holly, but if you are going to continue to root for Tennessee, you might as well get used to her. She won't be leaving anytime soon!

And to answer your question, yes she will. She already has 1 sweet 16 and 1 elite 8 appearances in first 2 seasons. She is well on her way. And when DD and T-Coop get to play next year, you'll believe it too.

I certainly wouldn't. Mitchell is not a stellar coach at all. Walz is a better coach than Mitchell, but I certainly don't think he is anything special. Neither seems to have much of a problem with having his players play dirty if and when it suits him. So, no.

That is your argument? He still doesn't have a NC? The legions of boos will grow the longer that Holly is here. I just see the writing on the wall with this coach or non-coach. I used to look forward to watching Lady Vol basketball. But now it is just getting depressing watching these girls not being developed.

People like Sandvol believe (mistakenly) that they are important enough to have a say in who coaches the team. Unfortunately (for him) he is neither important enough nor knowledgeable enough to have any input in the matter. If he had that kind of authority, he wouldn't spend all his time b****ing on a message board.
