GAMEDAY recipe ideas!

I may try that too! I smoked them for a bit then flashed them (I am not much for soggy chicken wings) they were very good actually. My wife has an unusual taste for food... ha ha. I do not like breaded wings or anything like that for the most part.. naked and crunchy... with no sauce on them.. I prefer to Dip my wings in whatever sauce I prepare.

I smoked some yesterday on my new Traeger. Marinated for an hour in Franks Red Hot, smoked @ 200 for 30 mins, 350 for an hour, and then 450 for 10 mins to crispen the skin, tossed some in Red Hot to finish to kick up the heat. Both were great!

My homemade salsa...

1 can of whole tomatoes
1 bunch of cilantro
1 onion
2 jalapeños (1 if you you're a wuss)
Garlic powder
Salt

1) Put the can of tomatoes in a blender, your jalapeños, and a pinch of garlic powder and salt. Blend it up.

2) Pour the salsa in the blender in a container.

3) Cut up your onions and cilantro and add them to the salsa.

4) Add salt to taste. Enjoy. This is how they make salsa in most of the Mexican restaurants and it's super easy.

This weekend it's boring old brats cooked in beer and then grilled. Next weekend after dove season it will be dove poppers on the grill (dove breast, jalapeno, wrap in bacon, grill). I love football food almost as much as football season.
