I was just curious to know what everyone will be preparing for Sunday night. I will not make the game so my family will be home with me and I will prepare food (as I do for each game when I am home).

For those of us not going.. do you have any plans to have snacks and such? I am a chicken wing junky, I try different recipes with them (I smoked some then flash fried them a few weeks ago to "practice" for this season, my wife did not care for them much but I thought they were very good).

I will keep it simple this weekend actually, I have my son this weekend, (the reason I moved to ARMPIT.... Birmingham area) and he likes pizza so I will be making pizza for him and I have been craving the Mexican white cheese dip for two weeks so I plan on preparing that and zesting it up with jalapenos and sausage. Also I am addicted to the Lime tortilla chips so I have to grab those too.

Any recipe ideas or whatnot would be great.. I will for sure try them as the season progresses. Should we have something special to eat this weekend, I mean on the Florida game week its traditional here to eat Gator meat....(the way we have played them the last several years I am wondering if maybe I am being given an unusual chicken part) what should we eat considering the fact that we are playing USU..... I do Not have seven wives so I can't eat them har har. Just kidding USU fans:)

Go Vols!:clapping::eek:k:
When my nieces and nephew come over, we do a grilled
flatbread pizza bar. They like it bc they get to experiment with different toppings, cheeses, sauces and they get to build their own little personal pizzas.

I'm a fan of Cayman style jerk chicken over buffalo and bbq sauces. You marinate it for 48 hrs, throw it on the grill or smoke it.

Anyone addicted to the white cheese dip served at Mexican restaurants (mostly in E. TN)???? Here's how you make it:

1 pound of WHITE American cheese. Preferably Land 'o Lakes brand. Other brands will do, just not as 'rich'.

1 small can of diced jalapenos

1 small can of diced green chili's (optional, but good)

1/2 to 2/3 cup of half 'n half or heavy whipping cream (regular milk will do, dip will not be as creamy). If dip is too thick add more liquid, if too thin add more cheese. Duh.

Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and heat on low to medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.

You will be loved.

My wife loves that stuff.

Thanks.

You guys are making some awesome stuff!!

We always kick it off with this simple dip
1 package of sausage
1 can of rotel
1 Block of velveeta

Cook the sausage and drain the grease. Add it and the Rotel in a large pot and add the velveeta, it is a wonderful dip !!

You guys should also try these ham sandwiches, they are amazing !!

3/4 cup melted butter
1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
24 Hawaiian rolls
1 pound thinly sliced cooked deli ham
1 pound thinly sliced provolone

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2.In a bowl, mix together butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and dried onion. Separate the tops from bottoms of the rolls, and place the bottom pieces into the prepared baking dish. Layer about half the ham onto the rolls. Arrange the provolone cheese over the ham, and top with remaining ham slices in a layer. Place the tops of the rolls onto the sandwiches. Pour the mustard mixture evenly over the rolls.
3.Bake in the preheated oven until the rolls are lightly browned and the cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Slice into individual rolls through the ham and cheese layers to serve.

Two of the easiest dips you can make, both delicious:

1. The first is very similar to the post above mine:
- 1 pound of sausage
- 2 cans of rotelle (any kind will do, but I usually use the Mexican)
- 2 8oz blocks of cream cheese (above recipe called for Velvetta, but I prefer the cream cheese)
Brown the sausage, then just put the other stuff in and let it simmer/stir until creamy. Great dip and very easy.

2. The second is a spinach dip:
- One package of frozen, chopped spinach
- Two of the small cans of chopped green chillis
- Two 8oz blocks of cream cheese
- A little bit of milk (maybe half a cup, to desired thickness)
Just mix it all in a pot on the stove and simmer/stir till it's all mixed together.

Both are really easy and really good.

Make cheddar cheese sausage balls with your favorite sausage. Mine is Tennessee Pride hot. Bake until they develop a crispy crust or they'll be too greasy and this won't work. Arrange the sausage balls into a football on a platter. Be sure to get a straight line down the middle for the laces which come later. Crush a baggie full of cheddar cheese puffs to make an orange powder. Bring to your tailgate. Once there, use a flour sifter or your fingers to sprinkle the powdered cheese puffs over the sausage balls. Take sliced black olives and cut only one side of the circle so you can open them up and make laces. If you put the powdered cheese puffs on too soon they get a little greasy. If you wait, they're gone before they have time to get greasy.
