Gators lose top defensive player for season

Lol.

Don't care to look up injury reports.

My point had nothing to do with that anyway. Just curious why you would be outraged over Ls after you built the injury wall to begin with.

Seems silly.

Expectations should almost always be Winning division at UT. Anytime u don't it's disappointing. However there are times when coaches get a pass for certain things happening.

If you can't understand that, that is your problem

Now you are changing terms.

Could you imagine the out rage if Butch only went 10-4 and 9-4 after inheriting a top 10 (if not 5) defense along with 15 players drafted in 2 years. Y'all would calling for him to be fired😂 Or if he would have failed to improve that 2012 defense, like Mac has failed to improve their offense

Here be the original I quoted.

For clarification.

What's your point?

Disappointed is when your dog gets run over chasing cars.

Outraged is when your neighbor shoots him dead on your front porch.

Point being. You were outraged over UT being 9-4 according to your post, knowing we had insurmountable injuries for games that you still expected us to win.

Followed this discussion and my only comment is, I think Lawrence showed respect. Probably more than I would have if I was in his position.

Tifwiw.

I said anytime UT doesn't win the East it's disappointing. That's not changing anything. Again, you never expect or see a collapse coming to your team. They just happen. This year it did and it was a cause of injury

Yes I was, but I also realize no team will live up to expectations after having over 25 injuries and 3 of 4 captains hurt

This was your response to being asked if you were outraged at 9-4 (4-4) and not winning the east.

Since then, it has become disappointing.

Yes I know. And my post at the beginning of this page where u said I said I was changing terms. I said expectations should be winning East, anytime it's not it's a disappointment. I was talking about in general, not just this season. Reaching

There's a difference between starting 5-0 and beating Uga/Vt and UF and then falling apart. Then just sucking all year and not living up to expectations.

I see.

Still not sure why you would be outraged over the last 2 Ls given your opinion of the severity of the injuries. Seems unfair to me.

We finished 4-4 and missed Atl. It is what it is.

Because I wasn't expecting the losses, even with the injuries. I wasn't as "outraged" about the Socar loss as the vandy loss. Butch rushing down to the press after the game and leaving his players for all the hard questions added on to what made me mad. At that exact moment if Butch would have got fired I wouldn't have complained.

After calming down I realize the injuries were very tough to over come, especially after seeing other teams all through our history struggle with massive amount of injuries.

Hope that clears up my opinion on 2016 season

And fwiw I'm not a "sunshine pumper" or UF hater. Part of my family is UF fans, I follow them pretty closely. I don't think Butch will ever be a championship coach here but I think he deserves another year or 2 before a final decision. I've defended UF on this forum multiple times. I think it's a little early to say Mac is clearly better than Butch like some on this board want to say

Not sure why you keep bringing up 2013 and our 4-8 record, as if I'm arguing that Will Muschamp is a better coach than (insert any football coach with a pulse) like some of you are suggesting Jones is a better coach than McElwain.

Muschamp is easily UF's worst football coach dating back to the early 1970s, yet somehow he's undefeated against Butch Jones.

Think about that for a second.

And Steve Spurrier is the second (and arguably best) best coach in school history, and Butch Jones is undefeated against him. Crazy how that works.

Very well then...we should immediately replace Spurrier on the SEC's coaching Mount Rushmore with Butch Jones.

Yea, because that's what I inferred. I was just pointing out an interesting stat that relates to your program.

It also means that those stats of coach's records against each other is not all that meaningful. Last year was the first year that Jones had more talent. Muschamp had more talent the first year at UF, and it was maybe closer to even in the second. Jones beat Spurrier with less talent. Kind of all evens out.

How many 2017 NFL draftees did Muschamp inherit last year?

What's your point? How many did Arkansas have for that destruction of your team?

You lost a safety this year. No worries. We lost two draft picks and our other starting LBer before we dismantled you.

How many draft pics did Georgia Southern have when they punked you at home when dealing with a similar injury situation?

Then why bring him up in this discussion a few posts up?
