Gators lose top defensive player for season

So we lost to South Carolina because Kamara, who was underused his entire career at UT, was hurt? Do you really think his production would have been any different from John Kelly's, who ran for almost 7 YPC in the game? The offensive line was dealing with injuries before the season even started, yet we somehow managed to beat Florida, Georgia, and almost A&M.

Tennessee lost that game because Dobbs went 12/26 passing with 2 INTs.

What does Kamara being under used have to do with anything about the Socar game? We could have used him when Hurd quit, instead CFA came in and caused a Fumble inside the 40. So yea, it made a big difference. Before the season it was Hall and Thomas, that's it. Through the season we had over a dozen different starters.

Ok Dobbs was up studying all night before the game. So even if u blame him that means the loss isn't on Butch lol.

Could you imagine the out rage if Butch only went 10-4 and 9-4 after inheriting a top 10 (if not 5) defense along with 15 players drafted in 2 years. Y'all would calling for him to be fired😂 Or if he would have failed to improve that 2012 defense, like Mac has failed to improve their offense

Your attempt at humor is noted.

Typically winning the division provides decent job security for the coach who wins it.

Our 2012 all-world defense (thanks primarily to Dan Quinn) didn't result in an East title.

If Mac's offense continues to stink it up and we lose the East, then yes, there will be outrage.

Until then UF fans will patiently wait for Butch Jones to help us out when we are unable to help ourselves.

Were you outraged over 9-4 (4-4) and not winning the east division?

UT was ill prepared coming off a bye week. It was evident from the start.

It resulted in a top 10 team lol and had UGA not been amazing that year y'all win the East with a chance to play for a national title, just like Uga did. Mac has done nothing like that vs a worse SEC East. 🤦*♂️

Atleast you now admit Mac has had the division handed to him twice now. Same luck Mizzou had when they joined the Sec

Yes I was, but I also realize no team will live up to expectations after having over 25 injuries and 3 of 4 captains hurt

The expectations were winning the east, not the conference, not a NC.
Why were you outraged with that not happening when "no team" could have pulled that off?

Did you expect UT to lose at SC after a off week and playing against a HS QB? Or to then drop a game to Peabody?

Because expectations were always to win the East from the beginning of the year. Injuries derailed the season. Can you show me one team who had the same amount of injuries and lives up to expectations? Just one, I can show a bunch that didn't.

You like playing the what if game.

UF didn't win the East in 2012, so UF's ranking, what UGA accomplished, and what UF could have accomplished if UGA didn't accomplish it first is irrelevant.

And I guess you also admit Butch Jones choked away the East twice now.

I'll take being lucky.

So you think UF 2016 team is better than 2012 just because one of them won the East? The East was also a lot better in 2012. Terrible logic.

Already said that, multiple times, Maybe read the whole comments from now on?

That's cool, but luck ALWAYS runs out. What's Mac gonna do without that Muschamp defense? He sure as heck hasn't improved the offense yet, just made it worse.

Who said one team was better than the other? I certainly didn't.

One team played for the SEC title, the other did not.

Those two teams will never play each other, so I'm pretty sure it's not my logic that's terrible.

The goal is to win the East and play for the SEC title.

Yes, Mac is a terrible offensive coach.

Clearly UF is doomed.

There, we finally agree on something.

Not sure why you even brought up the 2012 Gators and Dan Quinn. I never mentioned them. I mentioned how Butch would be destroyed if he failed to improve the 2012 defense.... Like Mac failed to improve ur awful offense

Try again...you brought up our 2012 team first, not me.

Perhaps we should just agree to disagree.

Winning the East >>>>>>> Not winning the East

That's terrible logic. Alabama went 11-1 twice and didn't win the West. Osu didn't win their division last year and made the playoffs.

2012 SEC East was much better and harder to win than 2016 or 2015 SEC East.
