GB vs Pittsburgh in Super Bowl

So were the Jets up to Sunday night.

Yet the Jets were still somewhat mediocre far too often. Even with all the injuries, the Packers have been elite. The Jets were squeaking by the last few weeks, while the Packers were dominating.

Oh, and like was previously stated, the Packers are the first team since the merger to never be losing in a game by more than 7 points all season. That's the epitome of elite.

Wasn't the fans, but it's not like he was lacking in popularity even when he started sucking. Still lives in Nashville and people still love him there...

It's going to be a great game. I can't wait to see the defensive packages each team throws at the other.

Better than getting his brains blown out by his skank mistress I suppose.

I mean, yeah...that was kind of my point...Favre deserved it more than McNair did, but I guess you just have to choose the right people for your dong pictures

You're right. Because McNair was the beacon of faithfulness to his wife.

You should go down to the Corner Pub off of Hillsboro Pike and ask for some of the McNair/bartender stories in there.

That's a good point. Nothing screams elite like having a must win week 17 game and getting the 6th seed in what was a pretty weak NFC this year.

Yeah, clearly I'm calling him a "beacon of faithfulness" when he got killed by a mistress...there's that grade A (I mean grade 1) reading comprehension kicking in

And we've resorted to this. Awesome.

We got 2 head coaches fired, we blanked the Jets at New York, we came within a turnover from beating the Pats at New England without Rodgers all game. Our largest margin of defeat was 4 points.

Oh, and in the playoffs, we beat the #1-3 seeds. Had we not dealt with injuries all season (no Ryan Grant all season, no Jermichael Finley for 12 games) we'd have been the #1 seed

Oh, and if Mike Vick and DeSean don't put together the greatest comeback of the season, you're not even in the playoffs at all

Exactly. As much as enjoyed that at the time, it sucks now that we're stuck seeing Green Bay get a shot in the SB.

Had we had a running back that wasn't a 3rd down back or fullback running for the first 14 games of the season, it wouldn't have mattered. Even with a fullback taking those carries, we still made it to the Super Bowl. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

With no injuries this is probably a 13 win regular season team. As much as I've griped about McCarthy (albeit I can't anymore), he did do a great job of keeping this team together with on several occasions it looked like the wheels had fallen off and got them hot at the right time.

BTW, 7 of the Titans losses were by more than 4 points.

In case you were confused, no one was making the argument that the Titans were good this year. They sucked out loud in the last half of the season. There's just no such thing as an elite 6th seed. If not for the injuries they might have been, but the injuries happened and held the team back in the regular season.

More than 4 points? Hahaha okay...

Well, I mean, taking shots about a team's performance when that team never lost by more than 4 points makes it relevant. If the fact that we've never trailed by more than 7 points isn't elite, then you're kidding yourselves. That's a feat never before accomplished.

How about the shot that says "maybe THE MOST ELITE TEAM SINCE THE MERGER shouldn't be comparing itself to the Titans?"

He does have a point crusse, you really are picking really low standards when you are comparing the Packers to that joke of a franchise.

meh. I was just giving a comparison. Would you prefer to know that 3 of the Steelers 4 losses were by more than 4 points?
