Georgia Tech interested in Bruce Pearl???

I've got a think tank of 11 diverse people to counterbalance the wherewithal that "EWE" bring to the table...

It's tough hanging with the MENSA of college message boards....

OK, the "ewe" joke was funny the first time. REALLY wore off after the last 500 times.

Secondly, I make no claim of MENSA status. I simply wish that the pro-Pearl crowd would be more rational in their support.

Awesome, good thing I chose my words carefully. No way I'd say we were on the same team. You guys seem a little too close...

I have no problem with people that like Pearl. I want him to win too. I just don't like the people that think he is immune from any criticism whatsoever.

Once, again, for the slow among us; I know "you" is spelled "you", and "yours" is spelled "yours". I was slamming your use of "suite" as "suit". Please try to keep up. I'm not gonna "----" every joke. It gets old.

You're not seriously selling that first one as a joke? That's just pathetic.

He's not immune to criticism. It's the over-the-top agenda laden bashing that isn't necessary.

He's not the perfect coach, doesn't always make the right decisions and doesn't have a philosophy that I always agree with. However, I understand that he has more knowledge about the game than this entire board combined and is doing it the way he feels gives the team its best chance to win. And yes, in general I support that.

1.Understood, 2.Good Point, 3.Maybe to you?, 4.OK Cheney, go back and look, I fixed that post with your obligatory "----"..... Trying to catch up here... Tough when you have three coming at you...

Or the over-the-top lovefest.

It would depend on when he leaves. It's hard to list candidates if you don't know when you're filling a vacancy. If he left tomorrow, Gregg Marshall and Mike Anderson would be the first names that would come to mind. Brian Gregory would also be on the list.
I wanted Marshall when we hired Peterson and again when we hired Pearl, and I understand he interviewed at UT both times. If Pearl left, I wonder if he'd even be interested in being turned down a third time? Although I am sure he doesn't plan on staying at Wichita State forever.

Have a good one, bro. Don't let it get you down. Did you ever see the ad during football game in which the announcer states that most athletes will go pro in something other than athletics? Well, the Contra-Vols all went pro in something other than athletics...... They chose message boarding....

Agree......They are just so ignorant and unrealistic it kills me.

Says the guy who tried to compare Pearl’s first 4 years at UT with Donovan’s first 4 at UF.

Actually you tried that and your the idiot....... All I said was people like you would have run him off in his second year for not making the NCAA in either years and getting beat in the first round of the NIT in the second.

BD never painted his chest.

So by default Bruce had a better 4 years.

Well lets ask our self.....hmmmmmmmmm who has had the better year the last two years...........The painting chest thing is like a broken record with you.

Listen; I get it. As long as he wins an SEC title every blue moon, you think he should retire here. You have low expectations and standards. If everyone was happy with mediocrity then we would still be living in caves. Fortunate there are people who strive for excellence in their personal lives and expect it from others. But I want you to know that I am thankful for people like you. We all can’t be Chiefs. We need our Indians too.

Who among BP and BD has two national championships? At least be rational when you post.

With that rationale let me ask you who has been at their school longer? and you could argue points in both coaches favor in a comparison of their first four years. I havent added the wins in the first four years but I am guessing Pearl edges Donovan even with Donovan's final four appearance (I think was in his fourth year). I may be wrong about that but I am sure you will run and google it and let me know.

What ring does your Hero have? And don't give me the DII ring.

Listen; I get it. You expect us to go out and hire a top teir coach who has won a NC and expect him to win one every year. Fortunate there are people who are realistic and are living here on earth. To do it your way would never resultl in a successful program and would take us back to the Wade Houston years. Be careful what you wish for... Now go find Hatvol...I heard he is being challenged......I know how you love to come to his defense.

Like I said.....you cant build a program overnight. You act like the man walked into a UNC type program that recruits just flock to. I think having the third rated recruiting class is a sign of where we are headed.

Tenure is not relevant to this argument, but thanks for playing.

CBD: 325-131, 3 Final Fours, 2 National Championships

CBP: 117-43, 0 Final Fours, 0 National Championships

Facts don't lie.

I just checked.....You do reallize that Donovan doesnt have near the numbers that Pearl has put in his first five years and had a lot of 1st and 2nd round exits in the tourney. Donovan did go to the final 4 in his 4th year but then went another 5 years before he went back. Comparing the two coaches at this point in Pearl's career I would still take Pearl. We are building momentum. You guys are crazy.
