FTR, I want Pearl to succeed too and think that he has done OK so far. However, it is NOT irrational to suggest that this team should be making regular appearances in the Sweet Sixteen or Elite Eight.

Never said Legendary......you have to crawl before you walk.....meaning you have to consistently be seen as competitive before you can attract talent needed to win a championship. I believe we are just on the cusp of this with Pearl. The next few years with recruiting will be telling. To pull the plug now would be a huge mistake.

Do you really think I am not aware he has been here for five years and this is all of his recruits. You do realize that there have been some extenuating circumstances outside of Pearl's control (I am not talking totally about the new years day event) that have forced us down to playing two walk on's for half the season and we are still headed to a 20 plus win season with an NCAA bid.

With Emanuel, Tabb, Tatum, and Smith playing right now there is no telling where we would be. A setback for this year, but the future is bright.

I never said that I want him dismissed and I challenge you to find posters on here who have said that they do. You Pearl Slurpers think the only options are to Love him or want him fired. I am willing to give him a couple more years. I am hoping for Plan C – Improvement (though I have not seen it yet and am beginning to doubt that he can).

I am just not going to sit here and give him message board Felatio like you and others are so willing to do. I mean, my gosh, your avatar is a picture of the man’s ass.

He is not without flaws. He is not the best coach in college basketball. He is not bigger that UT basketball. He is a paid mercenary who is rewarded handsomely to compete for championships. If he is unable or unwilling to do that then we need to find someone who will.

Wow.......I agree with somewhat of your changed story line as it appears now. Although you have changed your tune from the first few pages of this forum. The next two years will be telling especially with the recruits we are expected to get in here. He is not the end all be all......I never said he was.......but he isnt a bad coach and there are better programs (i.e.- Memphis) that would love to have him as their HC. With us he has a phenomenal record, he is beginning to recruit excellent talent, he is getting us to the tournament consistently, and has helped build the facilities needed for a top teir program. Everything is almost in place, so I would agree that the next few years will be telling.
