Georgia Tech interested in Bruce Pearl???

Lesson #2 on the Grass is always greener bunch:

When faced with stats such as CBP Wins/Losses some members revert to idiotic lies to try and discredit. Some such as the case with this subject, who lacks any credible argument, has zero original ideas related to the bball program and strictly feed off the other GIAGB members.

Why do you find a need to continually prove your ignorance?

Why do you find a need to continually prove your ignorance?

Lesson #3:
When faced with tough questions or the realization their argument is less than credible you can always rely on a member of the GIAGB to come back with a line similiar as this members post. To put you down somehow makes them feel like they are right in their argument that if we fire CBP we would be able to hire Coach Williams or K or some other headliner. I know it sounds ridiculous but dont try and rationalize with them just stay away....

I know you occasionally give Pearl credit. I don't even have a problem with many of hatvols posts which probably surprises you.

However, Lofton has zero redeeming value and is a borderline message board troll.

Then put me on ignore and go bow down in front of the shrine of your Hero. Or go swallow acid.

Either way I won't care.

Lesson #1 on Pearlites: Nothing that they ever say is rational. When faced with the postseason failures and other factors that suggest mediocrity, they point to meaningless wins in January and meaningless 46 hours as the #1 team in the country in February.

When all else fails, accuse someone who has a different opinion than you a troll.

Afterall, you've been here a month. You know it all.

Lesson #2 on the Grass is always greener bunch:

When faced with stats such as CBP Wins/Losses some members revert to idiotic lies to try and discredit logical thinking individuals. Some such as the case with this subject, who lacks any credible argument, has zero original ideas related to the bball program and strictly feed off the other GIAGB members.

Kind of like the Bruce Almighty Crowd:

When presented with logical and deserved criticism or Pearl, some members immediately accuse the person of "wanting to go back to Buzz/Jerry/Kevin/Wade".

Calling a guy a troll on this board is a little much. He is a UT fan no matter how impatient he is or unrealistic his views are.

Lofton, your not a complete troll.

Tell me who do we go forward with then? Tell me? This is the kind of question no one gives me the answer to.

Just answer the question: Who do we need to replace Pearl with? Who is it? Just tell me so we can debate it.

As been answered before...

Depends on when the job is open. But for the money we are paying, it can be a damn good coach.

No one is giving you an answer because you're asking a question that isn't warranted. Repeat after me....criticizing Pearl does NOT mean anyone wants him gone. It means we want to see improvement.

Lesson #4:

The GIAGB never seems to throw out a name of who will be that coach as they say "get you to the next level". Why you ask? Because they know deep in their heart that someone with proven results who has already ascended to superior level as compared to a CBP would never come to UT to coach.

The question was never posed by me. It's called IMPROVEMENT. Reading comprehension. It's fundamental.

thanks for proving lessons 1 and 2 to my students. See students their is the word improvement again. Its a given we all want improvement. Some of us want unrealistic improvement though that is what seperates us from the GIAGB.

No, they probably know any name thrown out the likes of you will blast them and say "Coach X will never come here".

No it's because I don't have a damned crystal ball.

But if you don't think for the money we pay that we couldn't get a quality coach, you're even dumber than I first thought.

Which was very dumb.

This is stupid. The only people in America falling over themselves to tout regular season basketball wins is you and your merry band of unathletic clowns. It's damn near funny, except that it keeps expectation levels to the point that crap like last season warranted a raise for our coach.

Bballvol....

I'm not going to get on here and pile on....I have supported CBP and still do but I have gotten to the point that, although ecstatic the Vols are relevant on Selection Sunday, I am ready for the Vols to get to the "next level"....Does that make me a member of the GIAGB ??...Maybe...Maybe Pearl has gotten this program as far as he can get it ??...Let's see what the Vols do with the rest of the season...I'm all for seeing what the new recruits do and how CBP coaches them....My question to you is how long does it take to make you say maybe the Vols need to be looking for the guy that can get us over the hump ??..I find this argument much like the JP Prince argument...People push his stats in your face when you say he isn't all that great...It's hard to argue with people when they do that because that is all they see...He does so many other things that don't get stats that cause him not to be the player he should be...He has an abundance of potential...Same with Pearl...You can't argue the wins and losses...You can't argue the upgrades to the facilities and the rise in attendance...What you can argue is what he does when his teams get in the SECT or the NCAA's...He has made the SECT championship once and not gotten past the Sweet 16....How much longer after 5 years do we have to look forward to the same results ??...It's great to get to the dance...It is getting old losing as early as we have been getting beat..Maybe some of us are getting spoiled to the 20-win seasons ??..

Your crotch must hurt from straddling the fence. We all want improvement. What seperates us is realistic improvement versus unrealistic expectations.

How about Lesson #5

Keep making these ridiculous "Lesson" posts because it makes me feel like I'm actually winning the debate.

What lies. Everthing that I said can be backed up by your post.

So a decent half court offense is unrealistic now? Recruiting a decent, consistent PG is unrealistic? Asking that we stay away from recruits with known behavior problems and ones that other programs won't touch?

Geez, what's your realistic improvement, make sure you recruit guys that can dribble?
