There was no way that he was leaving UT. Im sure that his agent had no connection to that NFL team.
It's really easy to claim great loyalty to your employer when you have no other options.I don't recall saying that he turned down an offer, or did I say that he was offered... But he made it clear that he wanted to be at Tennessee and no where else. He has said that publicly several times. I'm sure you'll find someway to argue with this too.
The last thing I need is a "history lesson" from some fairweathered slackjaw who thinks UT just started playing basketball five years ago.
No obviously its not history you struggle with.........its math because you cant tell the increase in wins since he has been here. The fan you call "fairweathered slackjaw (sic)" is just pointing out the obvious: Pearl is a winner. Also when you talk about the rich basketball history of UT's past you only have one real coach to compare Pearl to and Pearl is much farther ahead than Ray Mears was at this point in his career. To have 30k posts you sure dont make a lot of sense.
I remember all the rumors about that back then, but I find that hard to believe. I think he would have taken an NFL HC job in 5 seconds had he ever really been offered.
So what is your prediction for the tourney?
CBP is one of the top five highest paid coaches in the country and he's never made it past the sweet 16! He's not going anywhere! Count it!!
What does that change and WTF is a poopsock? DIII educations must be getting stronger.

Out in first or second round. However, bad you might say that is realize what kind of job Pearl has done with the off the court issues (losing Eman, Tyler - Permanently, Tatum to injury, Williams (temporarily), and Goins (temporarily). The future is still bright with Pearl as HC. He isnt going to Tech. Regardless of what Hatvol says the memphis job was his if he wanted it.
