That's it. If you don't have a way to refute an argument, just resort to 3 year old style insults. Good job.
That comparison is unfair to 3 year olds. They'll grow out of being mouth breathing idiots.
My argument: 4 seasons: = a #1 ranking, 2 sweet sixteens, 4 tourney appearances, a conference title, 3 sec east titles, and averaging 24.5 wins a year.
Your argument: Wha!! Wha!!! Wha!!! We need Coach K or some ELITE COACH. Get over yourself.
Go back to loving on JP.
Absolutely. They offered two guys the job before they decided to go with Pastner. The only people who considered Pearl a candidate were his sycophants Parrish and Calkins.

So you are saying that there are at least 32+ other coaches who are bigger winners than Pearl; for yet another year.

How many other programs do you think toot their own horn over being ranked #1 for 46 hours?
It is possible to win a "sec east title" whatever that is, and be the 7th best team in the conference. That should tell you how big of an accomplishment that is.
I like Parrish. Doesn't change the fact he's a Pearl sheep. The only two people who matter at Memphis took their cues on who they should hire from the same guy who had been telling them what needed to be done for the previous eight years. John Chaney had a better chance of being the Tiger head coach than Pearl.Did you and Parrish have a falling-out - I thought you had praised him before?
You know as well as anyone there is a night/day difference in being considered for a position and being offered a position.
While absolutely true that Pearl was never offered the position in Memphis, I believe that he was considered by the people that count. As part of a vetting process to move from consideration to offer he was eliminated as a viable candidate.
Well using that logic then maybe UNC should get rid of Roy b/c we will be going out after UNC. But you probably think we can steal him from UNC and coax him to Knoxville b/c everyone wants to come to coach bball here because of the (as hatvol describes) rich / winning tradition we have here.
Hey, sharing a "division title" with South Carolina last year is the kind of accomplishment that will get Pearl into Springfield.I think the point is that no one should be parading in the streets because you won your division. If it were such a big accomplishment, maybe Failmer would still be employed at UT.

I've been consistent in saying winning the regular season is a big accomplishment. I just like to remind everyone that Pearl isn't the only guy to win one.but it's still an SEC championship that the league awards/recognizes
I really only bring it up b/c for some reason this fanbase seems to always ignore it or treat it like it never happened to this school/team
All I'm saying is that I don't agree with the criticism people give Pearl. Sorry if it seemed worded differently. I'm a huge supporter of Pearl and believe he has done great things here. I just think it is crazy that people believe that we can get a more elite coach than what we got.I agree.
I don't even know why in the Hell we field a team.
