You need to read more around here. A constant, and often serious, refrain says that much of the criticism of Pearl is steeped in anti-semitism, which is patently stupid.

I was in attack mode... Hey, look at it this way; I think you said you were 5 for 5 when we did the predictions at the "10 to go" mark of the season. So, now you're 5 for 6 and the result of your wrong prediction was a UT win. I'd rather be wrong than have TN lose any day....

Surely you mean aside from the games tgat precluded his presence stateside dfor the opening of last summer's early recruiting period?

I'm telling you that it meant more then than did UT basketball to our coach. You asked what difference it makes? I don't know, but it meant enough to our coach that he was in Israel.

And I hope I'm wrong on the Fla, UK and MsState games as well....Maybe the Vols gained some confidence by winning on the road yesterday....They looked good during that 17-3 run...

It was an honor for him and in turn for us......and guess what it didnt hurt the class. I mean right now this is the best class he has assembled (given it stays).

This is when I noticed the criticism really ratcheting up a notch. At the time, I drew the same conclusion that you are now discounting. Some of the critics were very derogatorily speaking about the Maccabbi Games. Some of it was borderline; not the majority of the criticism, but a huge chunk of the minority... :ermm:

Maze did especially. Him hitting an occasional three has added a lot to our offense over the last couple of weeks...
