True that. I've never waivered my support for the BIG Orange, no matter what part of the world I was in. I actually was amazed at how many VOL fans there are around the world. AS before, and as now, and as always, Its great to be a Tennessee Vol.

Go get em Smokey!!!!

We are 0-0 with butch at the helm and nsd is still a couple weeks away. I hope this staffs effort so far is an indicator of how much effort his football teams put on the field. But it's far too early to say he will be like Bama in
Two years. I would love to have bandwagon fans because we all know what that means.... We're back

Been bleeding orange all my life, ever since I was old enough to know UT was Tennessee's state school. I have never waivered on our Vols through the worst of times. I love our state, I love our university, and I will always love our Volunteers.

The real fans have been on the wagon the whole time. Those UT "fans" in the late 90's that started wearing gator gear are the same ones now sporting Bammer gear. They can stay the hell gone. Go VOLS!

Could not agree more. If your blood is orange, it is orange for life!

Good news! We got the front car on this roller coaster! Soon we will all just be hoping we dont lose the game as opposed to hoping we win the game...thats the way it should be. GBO!

I guess I started out as a bandwagon fan because I started pulling for them when Peyton was a senior. I was a bama fan until I was old enough to realize how annoying their fans are. I can't wait until we can shut their ignorant fans up and send saban into retirement. My allegiance will never waiver again. It will be go vols for the rest of my life.

I have been a fan since 1976. Graduated from UT in 1982. Tried to walk on but wasn't good enough. I will always bleed orange and white. That will never change.

I find that the most fair weathered Vol fans are the ones posting "we gonna whip they azz" allllll during the offeason then go MIA during the sason when the wheels come off. I'd rather they just not post at all.

I have been a Vols fan since the 70's. I can remember for years I would go to the Arby's on Chapman Hwy to pickup one of the Vols pocket guides with all of our players info listed in it.

In the late 80's I moved to Ga and have been suffering the wrath of bulldawg fans every since. Thru the good times and the bad I have never waivered on my support of my Vols. GO VOLS.

I agree 100%, but as others have stated, I never got off the bandwagon. Like my moniker states, I've been a VOL since before I really knew what it was.

I have this odd little feeling that TN is about to blow back up again in the next few years.

I honestly am kinda shocked because when Butch was hired I wasn't really for it... but....the man put on the Orange with a pride I haven't seen since CPF and he seems to really believe this is his dream job. There is an energy behind him right now and it is easy to sell something when you truly believe it. He believes it. And I am behind him 100 percent now.

So heres the point: in about two years we are gonna be alot like Bama. Alot of bandwagon fans who will never know how great this victory really feels because they weren't here when our asses were getting kicked. They will sing Rocky top but it wont be from the heart. And yeah, were gonna pick up some Gator fans. It's gonna happen.

So to those of us who still wear the orange with pride, still yell Go Vols even after a loss to Vandy, here's to you.

You were here when the chips were down and you are the heart and soul of volnation.

Go Vols and lets shock the world on NSD!

Big time worries on here. All fans welcome----IMO.

I guess I have been a UT fan as long or longer than most on here since I attended my first game when Steve DeLong used to terrorize offenses in 1961. Dad was an alum, I was 7, and we sat in the old north end zone bleachers and watched Walter Chadwick score the winning TD's in the game against a team I cannot remember. I hve seen family members march in the Pride and friends' kids play on the team.

One thing that bothers me in VN is this "true" fan BS. There have been 4 "true" Vol coaches in recent memory - Neyland, Wyatt, Majors and Fulmer. The job was all they ever wanted and were about. No moving on, no gaming people - just all about being a Vol coach. Then there were Dickey (Gator or Vol?), Battle (incompetent bammer), Kiffin (OMG what a screw-up!), and Dools (Precious - really?!). No Vol fan should be expected to go along with the crowd and pretend a head coach is God's gift to the Vol job when they are clearly conflicted, incompetent, or has a personal agenda that does not have UT as its focus.

So when a negative comment comes out from a Vol fan posting, consider it. You can go back to drinking the orange-aid if you want after you think about it.

Had he been qualified I wish Butch had been hired after Fulmer. The baggage of two idiots in a row after Fulmer's melt down will be tough to overcome. Add in the two current village idiots that have embarrassed UT nationally once again in Hart and Cheek. I want Butch to succeed for the sake of all Vol fans everywhere. However, he is not a proven Vol until he earns it. Talk is cheap and at this point he has done nothing to prove he is worthy to sit in the chair of the great Vol coaches of the past. If he is successful he has to prove it is his dream job and not jump to the NFL or Michigan or some other place.

Until we know for sure I will be rooting for him to get it done and always rooting for the players themselves that want to wear the orange and give it their all.

By General Neyland, you have won my friendship for life with this thread! I`m 100% behind your statements. I have lived and died with MY VOLS ALWAYS! And I always will. We will be singing Rocky Top VERY PROUDLY sooner than a lot of folks believe! 10 wins in 13! Go Vols!
