I've been a VFL since I knew what Tennessee football was all about. Probably around when I was 3 or 4 years old so that's 57/58 years. My Dad and Grandfather introduced it to me, and I've never wavered in my support of UT since. Go Big Orange, Go Vols, Go Butch!!!!!

The reason threads like this make me smile is because you all are beginning to understand why gator fans are the way they are.

You get beat, get beat, get beat and then people start accusing you of running up the score.

And wonder why you take glee in it.

When Tennessee does win again, it will interesting to see how many are restrained in their joy
There is usually NO reason to run up the score over a team that has fought you hard, cleanly with what they had.

I grew up in Spartanburg SC and i can always remember Saturdays in that house.

My mom was always the one screaming her head off at the tv when UT greats would be running to the end zone, or making big plays. I can remember one of our neighbors calling the house because she thought my parents were fighting due to all the shouting. She asked what all the shouting was about, and before my mom could answer her husband turns on the tv and goes "don't worry about it, Tennessee is playing"

that has always stuck with me for some reason

I see great things with Coach Jones at the helm!

GBO!

Two more years and we will be competing for the East. Until then, it'll be bumpy IMHO.

I dont believe in the concept of running up the score.

I am more embarrassed by the other team quitting out of pity than getting blown out.

The Big Orange Bandwagon is full, so all you wannabe's stay the f*** off.

I can't wait to see buTch foaming out the mouth, the fire in his eyes, the veins in his forehead,...that will inspire the players to kick some a$$ next season.

NSD can't come soon enough!! GBO

Amen.

If your opponent starts emptying the bench, you should be ashamed of your team.

I hate Alabama.

Yes. Getting back to the topic, its been rough the last few years, but there's no way I could ever give up on this program. I've been on this earth since 84 and have always bled orange. I would also like to add, for those that used to be UT fans and have now switched to bama or Florida etc, stay the hell away for good.

I've been on the Vols Bandwagon since the 86 blowout of Miami in the Sugar Bowl. I was only 5yrs old then lol. 26 years later I still hoot and holler for the Vols no matter how horrible of a season we have. Even if I end up in Georgia going to school in the fall, the VOLS will still be proudly worn by me. GO VOLS!

Been with the Vols since 1966 thru all the ups and downs. I never will waver. GBO!

January 12, 1965 for me, never will forget it. I was born on rocky top and mom & dad were singing it when I came out. Still remember it like yesterday!!

:loco:

I love CBJ, the staff and the new attitude. It's been missing for a while but it seems to be back! I think the recruits are seeing it to based on the comments we've been hearing.

:hi:

Are you still in Elkmont? I grew up in Athens....although, that was a long time ago. My kids are almost your age.

I actually moved to Missouri 2 years ago when work dried up down there for me. My dad lived up here and had some friends wanting some work done. Then i started subcontracting floors through home depot and lowes and its been nonstop ever since. Would love to go back but its hard to leave the money.

I checked this out and it is cool. Was this school in Kingsport? I moved to Piney Flats 2 years ago but originally from Mtn. City. GBO!!

It was in Sullivan County outside of the city limits, second smallest school in Sullivan County at the time.. My dad who is 75 now, played ball there and we were PROUD VOLS no doubt about it..
