Get on the ride before the bandwagon starts

I will admit, I was skeptical and honestly a bit disappointed when Hart hired Butch. I was on the Gruden train and riding it hard.

But I will always be a VFL and I now totally support Head Coach Butch Jones!!

GO BIG ORANGE!!!

I came to Tennessee during the Bill Battle years, so .....yeah. Seen the bad times, still VFL, dammit!

Been bleedin Orange since my uncle took me to my first Orange and White game when I was four. My first Vols game was a shutout of kensucky at Neyland in 2002. I wore orange to school every day, regardless of the previous weekend's outcome. I am now a freshman at the greatest school in the country. I fought with my dad over coming to UT. He wanted me to go to Yale but I knew that the only school for me was UT. Even after such a disappointing season, I am still on the wagon. I can't wait to see CBJ lead the Vols to victory in 2013. GBO and VFL!

I'll always be on the Tennessee train. It's just sometimes we got stop and switch conductors. I'm hoping that the new one gets it going the right way this time around.

I think we should actually be pretty encouraged by the fact that our recruiting was decent and we nearly won quite a few upsets under Dooley and Sal's watch last year, who probably combine to be the worst SEC coaching tandem of all time.

Worst case scenario? CBJ is a tireless recruiter and gameday planner (given all that we know about him), but isn't an exceptional coach. We top out at 8-9 wins a year with him. At this point, I'll take it.

Best case scenario? He's the next Nick Saban and will have us competing for the SEC every year.

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle, but I wouldn't complain about the latter either.

My parent's and I have had season tickets to UT since '68 so I've lived through a number of thick and thin cycles. I've always bled orange; unfortunately I've now lived half of my life in Alabama. Despite that I'm still a Tennessean and will be till the day I die. VFL for me. My three kids were all born in Alabama, but they are Vol fans to the core, even while attending UA-Huntsville and Auburn.

I get so sick of all of these bandwagon bammer fans, parading around in their crimson garb, who've probably never set foot on the UA campus, or any other campus for that matter. I long for the day when we turn the turf crimson as we run rough shod over them, and I think Butch can help us get there.

It was in Sullivan County outside of the city limits, second smallest school in Sullivan County at the time.. My dad who is 75 now, played ball there and we were PROUD VOLS no doubt about it..

I live across from the industrial park in Piney Flats. Thanks for the info. Holler sometime and GBO!!!!!!

Ive been a Gator for 53 years. That said I honestly hope Tennessee can get back to winning 10 games a year............as long as 1 of them isnt vs. Florida. I could even take losing 1 to ya'll every 5-6 years. A strong Tenn. makes for a stronger East division. And I will cheer for ya'll to kick georgia's asssssssssss every year.:D

Orange&white are colors I cant never turn down. BUTch is going to be that needle in the hay stack that makes u bleed, when u wasn't paying attention looking

The reason threads like this make me smile is because you all are beginning to understand why gator fans are the way they are.

You get beat, get beat, get beat and then people start accusing you of running up the score.

And wonder why you take glee in it.

When Tennessee does win again, it will interesting to see how many are restrained in their joy

It will be interesting to see how many of you Jort fans stick around.

I have been a fan since the mid 60's. Remember vividly Curt Watson and his upside down dives over the line for TDs. It was shortly after those years that Doug Dickey bolted to Florida and hence the real animosity between UT and UF commenced. Not enthralled with the recent happenings but have no doubt that it will be figured out and we'll be back on top soon.

Hope you are right...But I never got off the bandwagon. Loyalty to my home state means a lot to me.

My first post here...above sums it up nicely. I am so sick of all the young people running around saying, "Roll Tide". <spit>

Most of these waterheads have never heard the name Bryant and couldn't even tell you what city Alabama, Florida, or LSU call home...can't wait until they feel the suffering that is coming. F them all. GBO!
