Ghosts..... Have you ever seen them?

Another question regarding the paranormal, do you believe animals can see/hear/sense ghosts or other entities that we can not?

The other night I woke up in the middle of the night for no reason. I wasn't dreaming, I don't think there was a loud noise or anything, just woke up. I looked over at my bedroom door and my dog was up out of his bed probably 6 inches from the door staring at it. No idea why but he was very focused on that door and very alert. Like he was convinced something was on the other side of the door.

For the record I do not believe my apartment is haunted in any way. Only one thing strange has ever happened here and that was one night I got out of bed to use the bathroom and as I walked back into my bedroom I heard a growl come from the living room. I checked around (and yes I was scared like a little girl) and saw nothing. But when I went back to my bedroom I heard a loud truck drive by so I just chalked it up to that. Maybe it was just starting up and revved its engine or something so that's what I heard.

But I still can't come up with a good explanation as to why my dog would be so intently focused on my door at that time in the middle of the night.

My guess is no for the simple fact that they wouldn't be smart enough to differentiate them from humans if they did see them.
Might have heard or thought it heard something in the house, floor creak, house settling. My dog does that if she hears someone get up in the morning that is getting ready for the day sometimes barks at random trucks going down the street even. There a chance the dog had to pee?

That's the first thing I thought but he walks over beside my bed and moves his head side to side so his collar jingles and bumps the bed when he has to pee. He never just stares at the door. Again I don't think my apt is haunted, but it did provoke the question of whether or not I think animals can sense things we can't

I think they do. We have an Yorkie and sometimes he stops what hes doing and gets that trying to figure out thing dogs do when their mouth closes, ears stand up, and they cock their head to the side. He looks over toward the door that we have seen the legs walk towards, several times a day. He doesnt bark, he just looks.
Posted via VolNation MobileTheyre not like humans in the fact that dogs dont second guess their senses. I f they sense or hear it they react. Their minds arent clouded like ours with whats real and whats our imagination.

I agree that they may not be able to differentiate human from ghost but they see a human like figure and get up and stare at it. My dog has done that to visitors at my house he's never seen.

It's not.

Some years back, I was sleeping on the couch in my basement with my dog, after having stayed up pretty late drinking, eating, and watching TV. Around 9 AM I was awakened by what sounded like people talking upstairs, just for a few seconds. At first I thought I must have been dreaming, but my dog was sitting there growling and looking towards the upstairs. It was as if a door had opened while a conversation was going on, then closed.

Another time, my wife and I were sitting downstairs watching TV, when the open door to the basement at the top of the steps just shut, a very firm, decisive clunk. It wasn't scary or anything, it just happened, but we really couldn't explain it, so just let it go.

Additionally, there have been times where I've been gone and my wife has said she heard someone walking around and thought it was me already back, though it wasn't. My sister has heard similar things while staying at my house keeping our dogs.

I don't know how credible this sounds, but recently I was at the cemetery where some family members are, and after visiting the graves and just walking around some, I was about to get back into my car and just heard some voices, like a snippet of conversation, right behind me, again as if a door had been opened on a conversation and then closed. The sound of the voices was so immediate that I turned to see who it was speaking. There was no one anywhere around.

All unexplainable, and maybe it amounts to something significant, or maybe not. So, to answer the OPs, question, I haven't seen them, but hope to at some point or hope to have a reasonable explanation for it all. I think in the future we'll know what it's all about - we're just not there yet.
