Ghosts..... Have you ever seen them?

I want to visit it at night, but I worry the police will not take it lightly if I were to walk around. Would you try?

I would talk to people who have visited it before. Find out how they proceeded to visiting the place at night.

I don't know how "haunted" it is per se, but here (Ashcroft Main Street in Autumn : White River National Forest, Colorado : Dave Showalter Nature Photography) is a photograph of just about the most picturesque ghost town you could ever hope to find (Ashcroft, Colorado) at the height of fall color. "The town's heyday was 1885, when 3,500 people lived here and supported 20 saloons and 6 hotels. The town has had numerous lives and is a well-preserved tourist destination today."

For those of you who have seen The Shining, the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, inspired Stephen King to write that novel. For data on the ghosts alleged to periodically visit that facility, see Haunted Hotels & Haunted History | Ghost Adventures | The Stanley Hotel.

I never believed in ghosts until one day about 25 years ago. I was sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper and looked up and my can of coffee started moving across the counter all by itself. It moved a good 2 feet across the counter by itself. In fact, it was slowly spinning around and around as it moved. You could see the label moving as it turned and moved. I sat there in amazement and left the room for a couple of minutes. I came back and the can had moved back towards the other way about foot. That was no illusion.

Any ideas of the ghost?

Please fill in the blank:

I am too _______ to experience hallucinations, bouts of vertigo, imagined illusions, etc.

Pick whatever word you want. But, just know that you have to pick a word to fill in that blank in order to be certain, "That was no illusion."

I'll hang up and listen.

No idea. I lived in a fairly new apartment complex in Hendersonville at the time. The area around it, the Maples has had some issues with haunting in recent years, that you never heard about before the internet and communications ramped up.

I have not visited. I would not mind a day trip to see it. Maybe on my next trip through that way, I will stop by.

Just my county alone(Sumner) is full of some of the oldest and best ghost stories in the entire south.

Born and lived in White House 34 years. Only (Sumner County) "Ghost Story" I ever heard was about "Monkey Woman" in the Drakes Creek / Saunders Ferry area in Hendersonville. That was before internet tho, way before.

Gallatin, and Castalian Springs are the oldest parts of Sumner County. Hendersonville itself, has some of major hauntings.

You will never get close enough to do an investigation. The security for the place is pretty tight, from what I have read.

Please answer this question.

This is a photo that was taken at a hospice house in Sumner County. The lady's camera slipped and she accidentally took a picture that focused on the foot of her mother's bed.

What do you see?

A person had just passed away in that room the day before. Obviously, several people had died in that room over the years.
