Gibson explains Bush Doctrine to Sarah Palin

I am watching this right now. I'm sorry, but it is absolutely painful. She has no clue what she is talking about. This is ridiculous.

I've missed your commentary when Obama was trying to talk economy or taxes.

Oh come on now, we know Biden will run circles around here, right LG? The same Biden who said Hillary is more qualified.

It's funny watching Charlie Gibson's line of questioning. It's one trap door right after another.

Come on. It's not exactly hard hitting stuff, but she's doing OK.

You cannot be serious. She had no confidence. She didn't understand the subject matter of the questions. She said she would go to war with Russia if Georgia was in NATO and attacked them! She did not know what the Bush Doctrine was and when asked if she supported it tried to pretend (pathetically) like she knew what it was. She sounded stupid, not just naïve. She is utterly unprepared to take over.

There is NO WAY anyhone who saw that interview and is remotely honest with themselves could ever be comfortable with her as VP.

Total disaster.

What would it take for you all to say anything wrong about Palin?

Wow - now I'm starting to sound like you all talking to me about Obama.

I've stated my criticisms of Obama multiple times - does Palin have any faults in your eyes? Or is it always some unfair analysis or questioning of her? Can she do any harm?

TennNC,

Give her a break, she's been thinking about these issues deeply for all of 10 days, so she did pretty well considering that.

Your entertainment value goes up by the day. Where are these comments when Obama looks like a fool?

I have to admit that her answers to the climate change questions did little to make me happy....but its not like my opinion matters all that much. There was a huge flaw in what she had to say...she said that sure it was possible that man could play some sort of small role in the change...and that is why it is important that she and McCain do what they can to combat it. If humans really play that little of a role, then it shouldn't matter what they do. She obviously is trying to make up for some of her past statements to adhere more with McCain's stance....and her attempts came off poorly on this issue, IMO.

she could say almost anything and I'd be happier with her at VP than I would be Obama as TheP.

She said she would go to war with Russia if Georgia was in NATO and attacked them!

What she said was that countries within NATO are obligated to defend one another. The reason she said that is that countries within NATO are obligated to defend one another.

Why is Georgia in NATO -- if they are, why isn't the rest of the SEC or at least the SECE?

Okay, I had a FineVol moment.

Well, lets be honest. NATO is nothing more than an alliance on paper. There is no real mandate that says that there has to be an all for one/one for all agreement.

don't bother with explaining these overly profound concepts to LG. Stick with stuff like 59-20.

I was a little surprised at Russia for invading Georgia. I mean, I know Georgia was preseason #1 and all, but Russia just came off as a sore loser when they did that.

Plus, Georgia has those "hobnail boots" for face crushing.

then any such alliance is effectively meaningless in your world. Sweet place.

Please tell me that you know that it is infintely more complicated than that.

She clearly does not realize that.

I'm actually stunned by how badly she performed. I would have expected some dancing around, sure. But she sounded like a high schooler at her parents' dinner party trying to have a conversation with an adult. Rather than come off as amusingly ignorant, however, she came off as dangerously simple minded.

I cannot get over how awful that was. Attack Obama all you want. It may or may not be justified. But no one can defend what I just saw and heard.

you do realize that you're making an enormous issue out of the VICE Presidential candidate?

She really did perform badly, IMO. But, she is just the VP candidate....I realize this....but if a choice for a VP can give amazing boost to a party's base...can't the same pick cause negative consequences...to be fair? I would love to see similar interviews of all the candidates....he asked some questions I really wanted to hear her answers to....and I would like to hear the same from Obama/Biden...just for fun.

you are 1000% wrong LG>
it amazes me that you saw it like you did and clearly you are the confused one.
bottom line..he attacked her on religion and on the "bush doctrine" and nato and she stood up to the test excellent and I guess you are upset that your candidate is being shown for the chicago machine built fraud with no knowledge that he is.
