Stop. You lost all your credibility at "we should beat FL"

They could announce that they are going to field a team of 90 year old ladies and I still wouldn't go around saying we are going to beat them.

Sounds like you're anti Ferguson. First possession he hit the receiver right in the hands and it was dropped. Playing against 1's he was under a lot of pressure. I will say that Worley played real well.

I never had credibility. FL is a win this year they have nothing on offense. Even though our defense looks like a mess, their offense is just as bad. We should be able to make plays. We score two TD they will lose.

Worley looked great. Efficient and effective game manager.

Dobbs looked great. Made a lot of big plays. He's a playmaker.

Peterman looked much improved. Great effort by him today.

Ferguson had a very poor showing. I went into todays game wanting him to take charge and thought for sure he was our qb of the future. Based on today's game alone, he doesn't touch the top 2 QBs on this roster.

We will get 5 wins this season. We will have to luck up and beat someone that we are not favored to beat in order for us to reach 6 wins and a bowl game.

Arkansas State is a win.

Chattanooga is a win.

Vandy is a win.

Kentucky is a win.

Utah State is a toss up! We are going to start several freshmen in key roles and our 1st game of the season with an unproven O-line & D - line.

Oklahoma is a loss!

Georgia is a toss up! Murray is gone and we should have the bugs worked out by the time we hit the UGA game.

Florida should be a win, but it never is. Even when we are clearly better than them, they always find a way to win.

Ole Miss will be our 5th win of the season!

Bama is a loss!

South Carolina is a toss up! They lose Connor Shaw & Bozo the "Clown ey"

MIssouri loses alot of players but I see a toss up!


We have not had a winning season since 2009. I don't see this season being a winning season either BUT in 2015 we should make a 4 game improvement and finish 9 - 3 or possibly 10 - 2 in the regular season.

Not this season, too many freshman at key positions and O-line & D-line are not proven.

- All 4 QBs are at least competent. Worley and Dobbs looked great, but I still think Fergy is in the mix as well.

- The WR corps is SICK. Malone is super talented, but North is still the star on offense. Croom could turn into North 2.0 this year. And Pearson is the X factor who could end up better than all of them.

- Hurd seems to be as advertised. I think he's going to break a 50+ yd run against Utah State, and get Neyland rocking. He won't supplant Lane as the starter though.

- The defense is rough. Tackling is atrocious. By midseason, Todd Kelly Jr. and Gaulden will start at DB.

- Overall, I just feel like this team is going to will itself to victories. The new guys are all Butch Jones recruits. The stink of Dooley is finally washed away. These freshmen are extremely talented and they're used to winning, and the rest of the team is going to finally realize that we can compete with and beat the teams we're used to losing to.

And it's going to start with Florida.

We are talented and young. We have playmakers on both sides of the ball. I think people always over analyze the spring games. The qb situation will works it's self out....just relax. I'm excited about this team. Remember guys, we have a crap ton of talent arriving this summer to help out the defense.

You are right. Coaches have been praising Helm and Wolf all spring. I see why now. They don't look like guys who should be at their prom tonight. They look like men. TE is critical to this offense and these two will be key.

Pretty much all freshmen who sign with a major college program are used to winning.

I pretty much agree with what has been said. Two things the defense was diluted most of the day, best 11 rarely on the field at any one time. AJ and Maggitt played very little. Hurd coming out of the backfield receiving is a threat. I think they only threw to him once but he really looked good catching the ball. Saulsberry,Randoph, Johnson, and Maggit plus one or two newbies this fall will make for a very different looking defense.

Dobbs made a statement today. Worley should be demonstrably better than the others to justify playing, IMO. Otherwise, you're just delaying the development of the next guy.

VN should probably start a penny stock club then. After watching our past 5 seasons, I'd say they have forecasted quite well. LOL.

I agree with the majority of y'all that Dobbs looked the best of the day but keep in mind that he went up against the second string defense for most of the day... Not his fault, he made the most of his opportunity. I just wonder how he would have faired against the 1's for the day. Now ferguson didn't look good at all today but it was just one practice so I don't think anybody should be writing him off especially with the tools at his disposal. Having said this I think Worley is the best option this year. Whoever may be chosen by butch to lead this team, Go vols!!!!!!

We are going to be better as well. Like I said there is still almost 4 months left to improve. US and AS will not pose as much of a threat as you think. Whose to say the new O line is not going to be very good? Because of the O&W game? Bad indicator. I think you're really short changing the team here. By your account you're thinking 4-5 wins and anything more is a bonus. Other teams in the east are going through some transitions as well. It's going to be an interesting season but 6 wins should easily be the minimum.

With this defense, we'll have to score 30+ a game to win 6. I just hope we can develop a semblance of a running game, because if we score too quick on Offense with these receivers, the Defense will be deja-Sunseri again! Running around with their tongues hanging out like a lap dog on Red Bull!
