Give your short, sweet summary/opinion of the OW Game

With this defense, we'll have to score 30+ a game to win 6. I just hope we can develop a semblance of a running game, because if we score too quick on Offense with these receivers, the Defense will be deja-Sunseri again! Running around with their tongues hanging out like a lap dog on Red Bull!

Nothing could be further from the truth.

This will be the best all around secondary since Eric Berry was on campus.

LBs will be special as well with much more speed and depth.

DL is a concern but I expect it will be at least serviceable. Saulsberry is very good. Vereen, Maggitt, O'Brian, others will step it up before August. A couple of more big men on the way. It won't be a top tier DL but they will be at least mid-pack by September.

Bowl game or not we should beat utc, Utah st., ark st., Kentucky, and vandy. That's 5 wins there, winning 1 more on the remaining schedule shouldn't be overachieving. I believe 6 should be the base and anything would be icing.

Mizzou is most depleted: They lost about 7 starters on defense, QB (backup is good though), starting RB, all three WR starters (DGB suspended indefinitely), a few Olinemen, etc and game is at Neyland, late in season. We get revenge.

1. Offense looks great - could be a lot of fun to watch even earlier than anticipated. Wonderful to see Dobbs already on the same page with Malone.

2. Jancek better hope/pray that the defensive recruits coming in are as good as advertised or his defense this year could make Sal look like a genius.

I never had credibility. FL is a win this year they have nothing on offense. Even though our defense looks like a mess, their offense is just as bad. We should be able to make plays. We score two TD they will lose.

They won 4 games last year, somehow we were still one of them. Florida has our number, and if it was somehow fixed for us to win I would still probably bet on Florida.

No proven QB AND WEAK D, but a lot of young talent and more coming still 2 years away from a shot at 8 wins.

Proven is such an overrated term and arbitrary.

This is just a bookmark in the third chapter about team 118. These kids could start kicking each other into gear and improve massively. We can only see by watching games, not a glorified practice in spring.

We all know that the top teams in the SEC has got Good OL play and DL play we are poor in both, we need more big strong OL and DL before we can play with the elite, you got to crawl before you walk, a lot of people on here think we can walk first it wont happen wish it would but it wont, with what spots left for the 15 class go get OL and DL we are thin and weak with what we got everybody is worried about the QB but we got major concerns in the OL and DL.

God bless! Who let pedigo out of his cage?

Summary; watching Tony Robinson throw made me a little sad and happy at the same time. Was great to see him back between the checker boards.

7 or 8 wins this year, a lot more next year. QB will be Worley. Ferguson #2, Dobbs looked really good yesterday, but against a subpar defense (second team), Peterman looked a little better too but also against second team. Lane looks good, Hurd looks good. RB transfer from Maryland Justis did well too, Malone (could be the best receiver ever to play at UT, and that says a lot), with North, Pearson, Croom. Offense will score a lot of points. Defense needs some incoming freshmen (late enrollees) to help out. They will be competitive in every game. I see at least two games we aren't supposed to win, that we win.

Nobody played strictly against 1s and 2s after the 1st period, from what I understood. Dobbs played against 1s at times.

I keep seeing people say this, but havent seen anybody that was at game actually say it. In the highlights, the final TD he threw to Malone (his last series) looked like it was against the 2nd-3rd team guys

That's awesome. Going to have to take my youngest next year if possible and skip his game. We've not been to the game because my kids usually have a game.

Ok just so you know we have a lot of good talent that is not even on campus yet. Also you are not a CF coach who is able to effectively evaluate talent. You cannot make ANY concrete evaluations from a scrimmage. They were not going full force like they would be in the regular season. They are basically playing a backyard football game with fans. You cant say young guys cannot come in, start right away and have impacts on the team. It happens all the time. Just because you say it won't happen means nothing.

Basically this is just another dumb, knee jerk, freaking out way to early post. Nobody knows what's going to happen. Not me, not VN and especially not you. Our OL and DL could be extremely good. There is still almost 4 months until the season. Plenty of time left to improve.

Listening to the broadcast..did not attend was working. Few Points I haven't seen

First thing that jumped out at me was the pace the offense was running, seemed much quicker than last year. The tempo seemed VERY fast.

No Heisman winners in the bunch but 3 serviceable QB's. Not a big Dobbs fan but preformed when the lights came on. His touchdown run he broke 4 tackles, ( watching tape )... seems the extra bulk may have improved his throwing velocity as well. Worley is still your starter.

Justin King lived in the backfield all game, not a new or big name, but he played his tail off.

Freshmen TE's are both LEGIT players Wolf = Whitten

Bullock and Darr are solid

We are hurtin' at OT both sides, C and G are SEC ready....Tackle not so much ask Riley.

Found this awesome breakdown.

Tennessee Volunteers spring football game review; QB drive & unit comparisons - National SEC | Examiner.com

All TDs came from 1st team offense vs 2nd team defense, except Worley's which was 1st team O vs 1st team D. Both of Ferguson's turnovers were 2nd team O vs 2nd team D. So really our first team D only gave up a TD and a FG, while our 2nd team D gave up a bunch of scores, but forced 2 turnovers.

Both of Fergie's turnovers were vs 2nd team?? Nb4 LexkyVol starts a petition to pull Ferguson's scholly.

I know you love Ferg and he is the hometown kid but give it up. You announced Ferg the savior before he ever touched a SEC field. The media knows the Rf fans are the most vocal so they have panned to them. CBJ himself has said nothing is determined. Right now RF is behind Worley and Dobbs most likely.

Actually, if my memory serves me correctly, CBJ said that Worley & RF were taking snaps with the 1's & would continue to.

And at the same time he wont realize that nobody could score with the 2nd team offense. Even Dobbs. All scores were 1st team O vs 2nd team D, except Worley's. Seems like the mismatch of 1st vs 2nd was the main reason why we scored so much.
