Yep. Entirely.

And you're right, easy as he makes it, having fun at his expense and enabling him aren't right and trying to talk logic and reality to him is fruitless so I won't do it anymore either.

I say that same thing.... and then he posts or does something that just irks me to infinity. The Lady Vols are trying to rebuild and they do not need such nonsense.

I'm glad we fired Holly she had plenty of time to prove she was capable and didn't. Anyone comparing that to the present coach who hasn't had the time has about three four more years to complain about her before a conclusion will be made. I don't know if she will succeed or not, but you can never even start a conversation until she has her own players on the roster. Thus far I've seen both good and bad and you can say that about a lot of teams that have been established at their schools much longer than she has been here. Coach Harper is still a wait and see for me will be that way for at least a couple more seasons although I do expect some progress each season to come.

Jumper, maybe you should just restrict your contact with the LV staff to direct contact — eitherby phone, email, text or postal service — instead of speaking to them through this board. You’ve mentioned that you have, and still do, reach out to the staff directly, so why do you also do it here? Aren’t you afraid that you are going to irritate them with too much contact? And, if it happens that you simply don’t care if you irritate them or not, could you possibly see how that could be perceived as crossing a serious line that could land you under FBI investigation?

You ought to consider these things. Seriously. You may be a perfectly decent man with all the good intentions in the world, but you very well soon have some trouble if you don’t get it under control. Good luck.

I've gently encouraged him in the past to pursue more traditional channels, including advice very similar to what you just said lvocd, but realized rather quickly he wasn't interested in doing things that way. And sometimes it's harmless, but other times it isn't -- and in some cases it gets really uncomfortable and worse. I am absolutely in agreement with sentiment that egging him on or validating him further is not a good idea. But he's so prolific here, it's difficult to avoid both him and his agenda.

What truly confuses me is that, if being employed by the Lady Vols is really his goal, then surely he must know getting into constant arguments with Lady Vol fans on the most popular Lady Vols message board isn't going to help his case. No serious college program would want that near them. Forget the context of the arguments, just the fact it happens at all. So why then continue to do it? Why continue to take the tone that he has on this board? I think that answer gets to the truth of what's going on here. I said it was confusing but really I don't think it is. I think it all makes sense. Just, sad sense.

Serious question, is campus security aware of this guy? This is approaching a very uncomfortable level beyond discussing a silly game. I remember reading in Pat's book about when she had to deal with a stalker who was fixated on one of her players - scary stuff...

Don’t know, but they should be. I have been saying this for a while now that his behavior was not normal...and some folks just kept encouraging him. It struck me as odd fairly quickly when I joined this forum. When he got pretty aggressive with one poster demanding he present his credentials as a WBB collegiate coach and basically tried to run him off the board I knew something wasn’t quite right. Then when he started talking about contacting players and then I witnessed him in the parents’ section going from parent to parent... I became really unnerved. But folks on here just kept encouraging....
