The evil accountant wins again.

/evil mad scientist laugh

not even an accounting thing. People trying to talk about shares should have the faintest clue about things like this, especially when they're telling me about the supermajority secret gorillas that were saved by Obama's pronouncement.

If they would produce superior product and offer it at a fair market price they would be fine. That is never going to happen, and I've never been more comfortable typing the word never.

Their vehicles are $###.

All day.

Every car I have ever owned has been manufactured in Japan. Although I suppose some Fords are okay, and any Dodge with a Cummins. Other than that, I'd buy Korean before American, at least I know I'm getting a cheap price and crazy warranty before I buy a pile of crap.

and the Honda Insight is the Cadillac of hybrids, so Honda is racist too, even if they don't fit into this conversation.

KIA > GM
Hyundai > GM
Honda > GM
Toyota > GM
Subaru > GM
Ford > GM

I'm starting to see a trend. I could care less about the buyout. I refuse to buy GM because they employ the lamest engineers, therefore they are crap.

most of those boys are on the downhill slide. They have many of the same problems we do with overpriced labor and laziness creeping into their jobs.

which is telling when you consider MB, BMW and VW have all opened plants in the South

BMWs have horrible repair records. my lexus is fantastic.

This... BMW's and Mercs are great to drive until they break and you have to front the repair bill.

I used to do electronics installs them. You do not want to know what the BMW dealer charges for a small bit of plastic dash trim.

i just had to get the plastic runner on my driverside door replaced. $100 not including labor (thankfully i did it myself). i backed into a pole and the body work was ridiculous too.

I hear a lot of people say they will never buy a GM again because of the bailout. I don't understand that. I understand being upset with the people handing them out but why blame the company for taking it to survive if the government was dumb enough to give it to them?

Also, the group of people that praise Ford for not taking one act like the wouldn't have taken it if they were in the same shape as GM. Ford would have taken a bailout in a second if it meant saving the company from going under.

I could be wrong about this but I don't understand this whole idea of boycotting GM.

Not true. Ford went in after the new CEO was hired and told the unions they either work with them or they shut all the plants down and move. He held his ground and won. GM didn't do that. I will never buy another GM product.

that is enough for me - repair bills are larger than average but infrequent enough to be insignificant relative to the driving experience.

My Lexus v BMW experiences in driving are not even close. The Lexus is like a driving a big marshmallow.
