GM will not be able to pay back bailout.

Some people (I'm looking at you, women) don't understand. Track-based motorsports in a high performance car is probably the funnest thing I've ever done.

To those that have also done this, hypothetical question: if expense and time weren't an issue, and you could only choose between circuit driving and sex for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Have been since the late 90s. It's a turbo and a good engine. Also very tunable if you are into that kind of thing.

I had a 98 A4 with the 1.5T engine. Other than some turbo lag it had plenty of power for the size and weight of the car; and it was all wheel drive.

I've got the 2.0T in out passat varient. It's a nice engine.

I wanted an audi R8. I mean wanted it. They had one up at the MAG dealership in Dublin when I lived there and I would drive by their nightly lusting over the damn thing. So one day I drive my wife up there and gave her my best sales pitch. She just laughed. Asked me if I'd gone mad. Told me "if you ever pay more than 75K on a stupid sportscar just so you can look cool and have girls staring at you I will kill you. What are trying to cheat on me? What the hell do you need it for anyways?"

This is how I ended up with the Elise.

Oh man, if you had the R8 you wouldn't be on a 3 year cycle. Not only are they sweet but they are holding value like crazy. Even if the V10 out the V8 models are commanding crazy high prices.

Not to mention they are beautiful and Audi makes the best interiors in the business.

sex

very versatile, dependable (other than an occasional coil) and tunable if that's your bag.
Just got it a couple months ago and have some plans for it. I think i'll wait on engine mods until our warranty is up though. Coils are a vw/audi thing....I keep extras in the garage b/c i know they will go out.

meh, give me some mud/rocks, big tires and 4wd and I'd be happier. Plus I would get to keep my sex option which is a plus

i had an infiniti J30 and currently have a Lexus ES and the lexus is a much better drive IMO. never really driven a bmw except for the occasional rental car.
Funny, I think the ES's drive themselves. The Infinity Q45 is much bigger, but is a much better driving car than any ES I've ever driven. To each his own.

I personally think the es is the most boring car ever built. the interior sucks, the ride isn't exciting, it's ugly. what is there to love?

it's not a sports car if that's what you want.

true, but what category does it fit into? I thought the es was supposed to be a sportier caddy when it came out, or was that a softer 5 series? I'm just confused about what it is.

GM is so crappy, they aren't even talked about in a thread with GM in the title. Hard to believe that they are too big to fail when in reality they're irrelevant.

Acura NSX, 91-96, still my favorite car. There is some faster, a few that handle better, but I still love that car.

I drove a Nissan GT-R, INCREDIBLE! What's more incredible? The cost of maintenance. It's absolutely F'n ridiculous!
