I have said I think he is going to Arkansas but I wouldn't read to much into that.

He's a special, special player. This may sound crazy, but I would call him a bigger version of Charles Barkley. He is a player that would bring Tennessee basketball back to where it belongs, no question in mind. He is a lot like Jeronne (Maymon), but probably a lot more talented."

You gotta love those comments from Bruce Pearl! I'm excited about this kid and really really really REALLY hope he comes.

Meaning he has lined up an announcement ceremony or that's his deadline to decide? For a kid that's has played the game so well I am starting to think he isn't going to EE. Unless he sets up a big event to announce I will believe he isn't playing anywhere this spring.

I'm thinking he means a decision will be made no later than that date. I wouldn't rule out something happening earlier.

So he is taking the year off from organized basketball....and vegatating....I guess he has the skill set to do it....

For me it doesn't make sense....the quickest way is a straight line.....Goal to get to the Pros and

I always think layoffs are the worst way to get there....I also think that exceptional kids can do it but still need some experience along the way....

Common sense tells me if Ark, KY, or Memphis cannot not offer immediate playing time and a scholarship then UT is a very choice...Ky He will be limited in time his first year Memphis keeps him close to home but not the environment change he needs and Ark is the unknown factor..... I would think any committment would be to Ark or UT.....but I am an optimist.....

His development to the next two levels will be crucial and best served at UT....because of distance and facilities......playing time.....I would not see him here any longer than 1.5 years.....and done.....

December 24-26 is a dead period. Maybe he don't want to be bothered by coaches.

I think this kid would want a big build up to an announcement. I don't see him in the next day or two sending a tweet giving his decision. That wouldn't add up with his actions throughout the process IMO.

He's set it on December 26th so that little baby Jesus can send him a Christmas sign and show him where to go. I'm guessing he sees a star over Knoxville, but I've also heard he has a Memphis Tiger stocking. Ham is on the menu for the 25th at Stokes' house as well, so Arky is represented too.

I have 2 theories of why he has pushed the date back that are positive for us.

Theory 1) He has made his decision but wants a big build up announcement that will generate the most attention and someone pointed out to him Wednesday wouldn't be a very good day to do that. Keep in mind Wed is a HUGE day in FB recruiting and would more than likely overshadow Stokes.

Theory 2) Stokes was sold on us a week ago but the 2 losses made him have doubts. He wants to see what happens tonight and on the 23rd to see if this team is going to give him any shot at winning. If we can't win these 2 games coming up Lord help us.
