Too speculative with that first part. That doesn't discount it mind you, but it's nigh impossible to prove. On the larger matter race issues are quickly outstripping "matters of evidence" issues. Harkens to Duke Lacrosse case.

I'm not sure what other evidence supports but it's going to take a lot to convince me that Zman isn't culpable as far as instigating a bad situation. I wonder very much though if whatever is out there might not pretty much take "murder" of any sort off the table. As I speculated earlier perhaps ballistic forensics that are consistent with Zman being attacked. OTOH for all I know it's something that puts the hammer down on Zimmerman.

No not a problem and not a big controversy either. I was just agreeing with the OP that the comment appears to be politically motivated given the earlier refusal to comment and the pressure from black leaders that came just prior to this statement.

More than anything, I was suggesting why the OP was not spewing right wing hate as he was accused of doing.

IMO, it is too late for any "new evidence" to matter. The damage is done. There could be a video of the incident and people still wouldn't be satisfied. As you know, a lot of people are just looking for something to gripe about and probably don't know the first thing about this investigation. On a side note... This is a travesty and I hope that justice is served... either way.

Investigators with the Sanford Police Department are still trying to figure out exactly what happened during an altercation which resulted in a fatal shooting in the Twin Lakes area. The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday evening on Twin Trees Lane. A man who witnessed part of the altercation contacted authorities.

“The guy on the bottom, who had a red sweater on, was yelling to me, ‘Help! Help!’ and I told him to stop, and I was calling 911,” said the witness, who asked to be identified only by his first name, John.

John said he locked his patio door, ran upstairs and heard at least one gun shot.

“And then, when I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on the top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point.”

It has been said all along that Zimmerman had stopped following TM and was walking back to his truck to wait for the police. But that does not make for a good rally so I guess we will have to wait for more witnesses come forward.
Seems to me that the parents are now caught up in the media frenzy and being controlled by Sharpton and the like.

This is interesting, too.

The neighborhood this took place in has seen a lot of crime. Would you be surprised to learn that there were eight burglaries, nine thefts, and a shooting just in the past year? In fact, the local homeowners' association reports that George Zimmerman actually caught one thief and aided in the apprehension of other criminals. The Miami Herald wrote about this on March 17th. None of the thousands of articles and cable news segments that came after, thought this was important.

There is a witness, who said that Zimmerman acted in self-defense. He said that Martin was in top of Zimmerman ounching him.

You nailed it guys, Treyvon was a better fighter than the guy who wanted to start the fight.
Sorry your hero was a puzzy, but as has become common, "I started it because I thought I would win, when I realized I couldn't, I shot him.... Self defense right? After all, I don't want to be a man and accept the azz whippin I asked for".

Should he have shot him, no. Should TM have stopped walking and explained why he was in the neighborhood, yes.
This "good student" and "great kid" was on a five day suspension from school and the family attorney has sealed his juvenile/school records........huuum?
Once again, Zimmerman had disengaged the confrontation when he could tell that it was getting out of hand and was attacked by TM. But you go ahead and make excuses why a juvenile had no respect for an adult that had every right to know why he was there. A little respect for authority goes along way to calm these situations before someone feels that their life is threatened.
In the 911 tapes, Zimmerman is calm and business like. He followed the advise of the dispatcher and was waiting for the police to arrive.
Oh, I forgot, the FACTS do not count. Carry on BF1.

The kid went to the store to buy some candy. I really don't care how he responded.
But I am positive that Mr. Zimmermans' account is correct, he stepped out of his car (IN HIS OWN SUBDIVISION) to see where he was(LOL).After all, it is soooooo, hard to read those signs from your car! (REALLY?)
Sorry he wasn't as (bad azz) as he thought he was.

Wrong. Zimmerman did not have the right to know why Martin was there. Why don't you stop taking the side of someone who murdered a teenager?

The facts are that Zimmerman was on patrol, saw TM, got out to ask him why he was in the GATED/ PRIVATE neighborhood, TM would not respond, Zimmerman tried to get an answer and could not, Zimmerman disengaged, TM got pissed and attacked Zimmerman. TM got shot.

In FL, a neighborhood that puts up gates become responsible for their own streets. Zimmerman was an appointed watchman for the PRIVATE neighborhood.

TM could have avoided the confrontation by answering the simple questions he was asked, Instead he chose to be uncooperative. Situation escalated, a terrible thing happened. There is blame on both sides and the law enforcement officials will sort it out, not Sharpton and the media.

As a property owner in GATED/PRIVATE neighborhood in FL, I am 1,000% correct and you sir have no clue. When a neighborhood puts up the gate, they assume responsibility for their own streets. No city or county funds are allocated for those prive streets. They have to line up their own services.
Zimmerman was an appointed representative of that neighborhood that night and had EVERY right to stop TM.
